2000 mile update Pegasus premio sport

After 4.5 months and 2000 miles, the motor is still whisper quiet and the frame is rattle free. I really like the Bosch power pack battery it came with. The hole at the top make carrying it easy. I have an extra battery. It is small enough to easily fit into a standard size trunk bag. I can...

    Made my day!

While riding a bike trail today, I saw a group of riders approaching from the opposite direction at a pretty good speed. The group seemed to be composed of a couple of families and their kids. Right in the middle, with a smile on her face, was an elderly woman, probably grandma, on an electric...

Court Rye can you help me.

That would be my first choice if I had known how to do it.

Court Rye can you help me.

Oh come now. Haven’t you ever asked someone for help? Whenever I have been in a position to help someone, I do. I don’t consider distasteful to help others.

Court Rye can you help me.

Can’t hurt to ask. If he doesn’t reply I’m not any worse off.

Court Rye can you help me.

I’m hoping you can help me get my wife’s Gocycle off the repair Ferris wheel, it’s been 4.5 weeks since it stopped working. My wife’s knees were getting bad to ride so I used your videos to get a small light weight folding bike with no throttle. The Gocycle gs was the perfect match. For 13...

    Update after 1750 miles

It’s been four and a half months since I got my Pegasus Primo Sport bike. I’ve put over 1750 miles on the bike and it has lived up to all my expectations. It runs very quiet and with no frame rattles. I took it out an a day trip. I put 64 miles on the bike in one day on a single charge of the...

1000 mile troubles. Are they common?

My experience with my two relatively new ebikes is not good after 1000 miles. Both bikes are different brands and cost around $3000. I thought that that would be a good price point for avoiding problems. I guess not. I’ve had motors stop working, rear wheel clunking, belt derive squeaking...

Pegasus primo sport 1000 mile review

I’ve had my bike for 3 months and the odometer has just turned 1000 miles. Weather I’m riding 6mph with my dog trotting along side, 15 mph on one the scenic bike trails around Chicago or racing at 20 mph down a Main Street bike lane, my Pegasus primo sport’s motor is wisper quiet and the bike’s...

Is ebike license an insurance requirement inevitable.

The other day I watched a YouTube video on an ebike, that anyone can buy, that has a throttle only speed well in excess of 28 mph. I’ve viewed other videos, on ebikes with similar capabilities. It’s only a mater of time before ebike car and pedestrian accidents, with these fast ebikes, causes...

    The last ebike manufacturing challenge

I live in Chicago where ebikes are just catching on. I ride an ebike everyware so I’m always curious to see if bikes I see are ebikes too. Before an ebike gets close enough to me to visually identify, it gives itself away by the sound of its motor. If an electric car passes me, I only here the...

Is it important to you that your ebike doesn’t look like an ebike?

I’ve noticed that a lot of ebike manufacturers are going to great lengths to concealing the fact their bikes are ebikes. Batteries and motors hidden in the down tube and displays are getting smaller. Are they doing that for esthetics or is it because the is some kind a stigma attached to riding...

Pegasus primo sport after 500 miles

This bike has more than lives up to my expectations. The rear rack can accommodate trunk bag and side bag at the same time. The bike is plenty powerful for all my needs and the motor is whisper quiet at all speeds. The bike is well put together with hardly any rattles. Great bike. Ed

    Gocycle in hilly Nashville

I have a gs. I’ve had it for a little over a year. I have a little under 1000 miles on it. The steepest hill I went up was at least 10% , and maybe 100 feet high. There are a lot of them in Nashville and ware I was the were a lot. Went about 20 miles on my longest trip and still had one bar...

    Gocycle in hilly Nashville

I’m visiting my son in Nashville. I brought the gocycle along. Fits perfect in the small trunk of my Ford Tbird. The hills here in Nashville are high and abundant, but I haven’t found any the I couldn’t climb with ease. I also have a Pedego Latch with a rear hub motor and a Pegasus bike with a...

    Never too much torque

When I was in my 20s, before there were cellphones, computers and electric bike, the mantra for my generation was “ You can never have enough horsepower.” Fast forward 54 years and the mantra for the ebike generation is” You can never have enough torque.” When I was in my 20s my cars had far...

Don't charge your bike battery above 80% and don't ride below 20%. Maybe, maybe not.

I’m 75 year old and I did a 50 mile bike trip last weekend. Of course I’m not using the seat that came with the bike. Ed

Don't charge your bike battery above 80% and don't ride below 20%. Maybe, maybe not.

I bought a Giant Twist with twin battery’s in 2009. I’m still using the original batteries after over 20,000. I’m only getting 40% of the range when new but that’s about 25 miles. Ed
