Watching the peloton - Professional Road Racing thread 2026

Radek is such a biological and mental phenomenon it is even difficult to describe it. He started his serious cycling some 10 years ago. He has no coach and he doesn't do any formal training. He just mounts a gravel or mountain bike and rides for a win. People who know him better say Radek is...

Wahoo Kickr Core 2 with Zwift

A short thaw now :) I know Creo 2 with its 12x142 mm rear hub would work. Was worried about the Road Boost on Creo 1!

Does the bike trainer support the 12x148 mm rear thru-axle?

Ebike touring recommendations 120 km a day range with a 150 kg (bike+ rider luggage) and 750-800 wh battery or 2 batteries 750-800 wh batteries

Besides... This is how professional unsupported bike-packing looks like. 1,432 km, 25000 m elevation gain, 3 pitstops. I can see neither a front nor a rear rack. You cannot make your bike heavy with 20% climbs en route especially if you want to win :) Interestingly, most riders of the extreme...

More omelette! :) (It was almost 1,100 viewers of the "live" mentioned, most being Polish).

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Andrew, I'd like to clarify some matters. For me, it doesn't matter what route planner app a person chooses. All major sports trackers work equally well with Wahoo. I plan my routes in Komoot but save my ride recordings to Strava (only that service matters to me) and to RWGPS as well to Komoot...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

The most interesting difference between these two system is you pay a one-time flat fee for Komoot Regions and you never need the Premium for almost all Komoot features, PC or smartphone. While you need a subscription for RWGPS to even plan your route on the smartphone. That is why almost...

The Atlas Mountain Race Podium Is Full! 1,432 km and 25,000 m elevation gain unsupported gravel race in Morocco: Winner: Victor Bosoni (France, 24): 4 d 01 h 46 min. 2nd place: Ole Bjørn Smisethjell (Norway, 26): 4 d 03 h 29 min 3rd place: Radosław (Radek) Gołębiewski (Poland, 47): 4d 05...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

You can do exactly the same with RWGPS as I can do with Komoot. Wahoo 2 had a way more navigational options than the 3. I think the missing features will come in future software updates.

Ebike touring recommendations 120 km a day range with a 150 kg (bike+ rider luggage) and 750-800 wh battery or 2 batteries 750-800 wh batteries

I said "no" to the Creo 2 role as a bike-packing e-bike (I need to repeat it). It is however, a perfect long distance gravel e-bike. Gravel cyclists don't want to ride heavy (it defeats the sports' style to ride fast). Fenders? Yes, if necessary. A big saddle bag, yes. A huge handlebar bag, yes...

Wahoo ELEMNT Ace (on Specialized E-Bikes)

Wahoo ACE is totally autonomous for "Select location on map" or "Saved locations" (where you select a location by tapping on the device map). As long as the GPX fix is available, you can navigate to the location shown on the map or to one of Saved Locations or to a Saved Location created by...

Gravel cyclists often mount water bottle cages on both sides of the fork but not the rack. A gravel racer on a 1,433 Atlas Mountain Race, Morocco, happening right now. Is this bike-packing? No, it isn't. https://amr26.maprogress.com/

    Turbo Vado 2 4.0 or 5.0 or 6.0?

Interestingly, 380 W electrical * 0.79 efficiency is 300 W mechanical, which is promised by Specialized as the max power at the cadence of 80 rpm.

While I said "No" to the Creo 2 in the role of a heavily loaded bikepacking e-bike, you seem to be greatly misinformed. We are talking Creo 2, not the older Creo 1. Creo 2 as a gravel e-bike has all the types of mounts you'd expect from a touring bike. You have no service records or even...

You guys devote your attention mostly to road cycling while... https://amr26.maprogress.com/ There is a 1,400+ km long gravel race in Atlas Mountains, Morocco right now. The Polish Radosław Gołębiewski has a great chance for the podium! These people have pit-stops every 350 km at hotels. It is...

Tommy's Pre-Birthday 2026 Tommy turns 46 on Monday. Because of our friendship, he invited me to the Warsaw PINTA Chmielna craft beer pub. I only used my Vado for the commutes, 12.7 km in total. PINTA is the largest craft brewer of Poland. They own as many as two pubs in Warsaw Midtown. The...
