My wife bought that exact trailer for her Rad bike. The first time I put our 40 lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback pup (who is now 60 lbs., and going on 90), she tipped it over while traveling in a straight line on a smooth surface. If you have a trick to prevent that from happening, I’d love to hear it.

For me, riding in high gear all of the time would stress my knees too much, and I’m hoping to avoid further cartilage loss. Thus, I prefer to start in a lower gear, keeping my cadence in the 70’s minimum, and mostly 80’s or higher, unless I’m on a rare smell-the-roses ride.

You’re welcome! 🤗 Yes, it is via Ant+. Another piece of info I like comes via Ant+, and is fed to the SRAM app by an upload from the Wahoo app. I’ve considered modifying my gearing based on this, but I’m a bit reluctant, as I do occasionally encounter a steep hill.

I found that to be true with my Allant+. Even though I haven’t been riding it, I’d rather keep it than sell it for what I’ve been offered. That’s ok though, as I’ve been able to invite a few bikeless (is that a word?) people to ride with me.

The OP is just trying to get a rise out of Creo owners. He’s like a politician….overstating his leanings to get attention.

I bought my Creo largely because of the motor. I had been riding a Trek Allant+ 9.9s (85nm), and felt that I wanted less power and a much lighter bike. I love my Creo, and haven’t ridden the Trek once since I bought the Creo last Spring. It’s just a “to each their own” kind of thing.

I don’t know the answer with certainty, but I recall an update from Specialized a while back that allowed 100% assist to be used with a lower battery level, instead of limiting assist (something like down to 5% battery, instead of 20%). As that update didn’t apply to my Creo, I’m hoping that is...

My Specialized Turbo Creo SL has 160mm rotors. I’ll admit, 160mm does sound small and I had to give it some thought, but I figured at the price they’re charging, it must be ok. 😂 Honestly, I’ve not noticed any problem at all. It stops just fine, and doesn’t fade out on hills or anything.

I’ll add to that by saying my Trek Allant+ 9.9S and my Specialized Turbo Creo SL, even though both use torque sensors, are very different. The Allant+ requires more assist, as it is nearly twice the weight (50+ lbs. vs. the Creo’s 27 lbs.) and it sometimes feels like I can’t find the sweet spot...

I’d say you just have the wrong ebike for you. I can tell you that with mine you’d be able to work as hard, or take it as easy as you’d like, or anywhere in between. Tell us about your ebike, and we’ll offer our valued opinions. 😊

Thule’s customer service is outstanding. I had an issue with a clamp knob on my Easyfold, and I had a replacement part in hand within just a few days. Unfortunately, that rack is sitting unused now, as our new bikes didn’t play well on it. I should probably sell it, but I won’t. 😊

Yes, I have to agree that it does offer some advantages. However, as to the drivetrain, I’m quite happy with my Creo’s SRAM 12 speed system (46T chainring and 10-50 cassette). Also, this bike offers less range than the Creo, so the larger battery is irrelevant.
