You know, on second thought, it makes sense. Next visit to the LBS will be a request to have him turn on this feature. Speaking of features, are there any other optional features that are available in the latest firmware that bumps up the motor to 85Nm? Thanks!

The tech's feeling is that it's all about the safety and that Trek likes to have the lights on when riding. Since the LEDs don't draw that much battery current, it just seemed to make sense to me.
