    Shoutout to Bosch

As a note - what possibly caused the problem was not removing the lock, and then removing the bike from my old phone. The data come over to the new one, but having the lock associated with the old hardware (iphone 12) probably caused an issue connecting with the new hardware (iphone 15).

    Shoutout to Bosch

I have to give a compliment to Bosch USA. Most people post to complain, but I had a great experience with them today. I couldn't get my new iPhone 15 Pro to connect to my Nyon display via the app. This on a Riese and Müller Delite. So I called Bosch on the phone, and: 1). I got a person on...

Is there any Ebike for a 6"4' Bigger guy?

I agree! I had a Current and the large size fit me well (6'4" / 193cm).

Is there any Ebike for a 6"4' Bigger guy?

I'm a full 6'4"/193cm in my bare feet, and the largest Riese and Müller Delite fits me just fine. So does my 61cm Azor Omafiets (Dutch granny bike).

Cost to recharge an ebike battery.

Here in Los Angeles, on the city-owned utility (LADWP), my bottom line price including the electricity plus the graft, bribes, tax, and tip due to the City Council, is 25¢ per KWh. It takes about 1 KWh to charge my 625 Watt/Hour battery, and I usually get a good 35 miles outta that. The...

In depth article by Bicycling Mag on the lawsuit against Rad regarding a girls death

Given that this terrible accident happened while going down a very steep grade, and with 2 kids on the bike, I have to wonder if the "E" in front of "Bike" really had anything at all to do with this kid's tragic death. Personally, I can get up pretty much any grade short of vertical with my...

We need to stop blaming victims in bike theft!

Bike thieves suck. Bad things should happen to them.

Hitch rack for Superdelite with fenders?

Thanks! And I still love the bike even after the honeymoon lol. Looks like you're getting a couple of nice upgrades with the Delite 4. The Kuat looks like a nice one - it was on my list along with a couple of others. I ended up going with the Quikrstuff because I could get a single tray...

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

That's one of the things I was wondering. I haven't seen anything resembling a standard for this. Of course, that doesn't mean one doesn't exist, but I sure haven't found it. What input current at what rpm, for instance? How about showing the torque plotted on a curve? It seems to me...

Good point - I live in Southern California so I didn't have to consider cold weather in regard to battery life.

Hitch rack for Superdelite with fenders?

Yes, Quikr one was invented by the same guy who did the 1Up - and yeah, I think it's a bit pricier too! But there are some nice tweaks he made to his design that could be worth it.

The passing of Mr. Rohloff - end of an era!

Wow - I remember reading about the Speedhub when it came out back in the '90s. My bike had a 7-speed Shimano hub (the Inter-7, after having owned a bike with a 3-speed hub), and that was pretty good at the time. The Rohloff's 14 gears and huge range blew me away! And that the gears were...

Hitch rack for Superdelite with fenders?

I use a Quikrstuff Mach 2 for my Delite. It works fine with the rear fender. The cross bit thingy can be adjusted to tuck up a bit underneath it and it's totally secure. For extra-safe backup, get one or two of the locks they sell with it (they go through the wheels and the bars). Looks...

Nay, the JWs came with the Überbike lol. But I'll check out your thread on them!

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

I only locked it out on nice smooth dedicated bike paths, where I often ride without assist... we actually have a few nice paths in Southern California like the Pacific Electric Trail (some parts of it are pleasant, but not all). I like the occasional exercise of moving this heavy beast of a...

300 mile (483Km) Update: Even after sustaining the Force 5 hurricane in my mailbox (the credit card bill lol) and writing the check... I still bloody love this bike! It opens everything up to me. Long rides, short rides, crazy steep hills, terrible roads, train tracks, whatever, I can go...

My Basil panniers have that - the stiff part is to roll up and fold over. It's for waterproofing, I assume.

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

I went with the HS anyway. There are only a few places here that mandate Class 1, and there is no outward indication, or indication on the display, whether it is Class 1 or 3 - the two models are identical-looking. So I just ride wherever and stay under 20mph/32Km/h if Class 1 is required...

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

Cripes, it's a bloody expensive bit, innit? I was thinking about the GT, but again, me and derailleurs lol. I considered the Enviolo, and I even test rode one and liked it, but I wanted more gear range and a firmer-feeling driveline. If I were buying my delite for "town and country," that is...

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

No leaks from mine either - but then again it's new. It doesn't seem like a widespread problem, but that is no consolation to those it happens to. My kickstand is set fairly straight up, too. There's another theory about using less oil to fill it - something like 12ml instead of 25ml or...
