I have the Nashbar Townies on my reg bike, very similar looking but solid other than mesh, they're ok but the velcro top straps don't hold with much of a load.

I want a pair of folding wire baskets for rear rack on my Magnum Metro that I can quickly attach and remove. Mainly used for groceries, carrying supplies to community garden plot, other errands. Wald baskets seem to be permanently attached; does anyone have anything that fits my criteria?

This looks practical. I've only got 5 uneven height steps to go up and down, was planning on using walk mode on my (still awaiting) Magnum Metro but I'm going to give this a try just to spare the bike the bumping around on a regular basis...

Surprised there's not more comments from Denver. Our metro area has lots of separated trails, bike lanes, (supposedly) shared roads and, in Downtown there are now barrier-separated lanes. Read someplace that we have over 600 miles of trails, lanes etc. Several 15-20+ mile trails - Platte River...

Put a Magnum Metro on layaway at Best Electric Bike in Denver, 10 blks from home (7 years in business). I won't finish paying for it until Apr/May but laid it away now because of a conversation with owner Terry. He said he started carrying Magnums thinking he had an exclusive deal with them...

Test rode a Pedego, an IZip, a Blix, a Yamaha, the Metro - and a R&M Delite! Saved the Metro for last, right after the R&M. I definitely noticed the more solid feel of the R&M and it really chews up hills, made the previous bikes seem sort of flimsy, weird to say for a 60 lb metal machine but...
