    Gravel Vs. Trail Bikes

It is the most simple definition, yes. The devil is in the details, though. For instance, gravel bikes are usually equipped with "flared" drop-bars. That is, the drop is wider than the hood area. It is for greater stability in rough terrain. Gravel bikes are more rugged than respective road...

    Winter e-biking advices

Which reminds me of my painful crash on black ice on the first of February 2021. It was my e-MTB (similar to your Levo). I instantly discovered what those spiked winter tyres were for :) https://www.strava.com/activities/4716016214

    Gravel Vs. Trail Bikes

It is not about the ride comfort. Full Suspension is for maintaining traction at all times and for protecting the rider during landing after a jump. That's way FS bikes shall never be mentioned together with fat bikes. An MTBer rarely sits on the saddle, it is more standing on the pedals on...

2025 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

I decided to spare you the details why Strava was good for me. I'm not the Brian's Pack type.

    Gravel Vs. Trail Bikes

Perhaps I should have explained that first. A gravel bike is: A specially designed version of a road racing bike for fast riding asphalt, gravel and off-road Usually, a gravel bike is designed for drop handlebars although flat handlebar gravel bikes exist, too (see Marin DSX 3) A gravel bike...

    Gravel Vs. Trail Bikes

Kansas :) But honestly. There are two flavours of gravel bikes: Racing geometry, extremely lighweight, totally unequipped (just for racing) Relaxed geometry, heavier (could be even steel), with multiple equipment bosses: for several water bottles, tools, fenders; frame, handlebar and saddle...

2025 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Affirmative. Strava has an Application Programmer's Interface, so any programmer can play around Strava provided the Strava user has consented to share their login (haha!) It's horses for courses. Brian apparently is in a Need For Speed but different people have different needs.

2025 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Are you kidding me? I can do it myself. Strava has its own AI about the user's performance. I switched it off. If I go for a shopping ride in TURBO, AI would say "What a feat!" If I do it in ECO, I would get a polite remark, like "You are slacking!" :D I put a lot of creativity in the titles...

How many miles a year do you ride?

Just to put my situation in a right perspective: Majority of my rides are recreational: Solo adventure trips Riding with a friend or friends (yes, I actively pursued finding riding friends!) Riding with a family member Organized group rides: Organized by someone else Organized by myself :)...

How many miles a year do you ride?

We know each other Ed more from Strava than from the EBR Forums! It is a real pleasure to see your friend pedalling; it is one of the greatest features of Strava, its social media role. I'm sure you can further improve your stats for 2026 by riding your Creo 2 more! (I also can notice how hilly...

    Just for fun...

Oh, yes. I watched the series on the satellite TV in English. It made me proud to understand all the jokes and puns! Later, the series came dubbed on the Polish television. No point to watch it anymore: the translation killed all the flavour!

2025 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

I've watched numerous videos from various authors about Siberia, North and East Russia where the winter temperatures are extreme (for instance, Oymyakon is believed to be the coldest inhabited place on Earth). Some of those people were actual travellers. some other like the excellent Simon...

How many miles a year do you ride?

My realistic target for 2025 was reduced to 7500 km (4,660 mi), which is the worst performance of mine since 2019. Two months of illness A lot of work Foreign travels I cannot help it.

2025 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

A good 'un! :D Which reminds me of one of GCN shows. These British guys were trying to convince the public the Winter cycling was doable. I commented that, like, "What do you guys know of Winter, snow and frost?" to which I got a typically merry British humour response their budget didn't allow...

There once was a Johnny Bravo animated movie "The Day the Earth Didn't Move Around Very Much" based on that situation 😃

A Christmas Event at Magda's This is an annual family gathering at the Social Care Home where my daughter lives. Magda was very happy with the "alpaca therapy" she's recently got! My daughter was (as usually) singing in the choir. This photo was taken with the 10x zoom of my Samsung S24...
