    A good word for Aventon

Good to hear. I had a problem where they messed up an order on accessories, I was upset that they made a simple quantity mistake that was so obvious. Still I was happy that a single email to them was all it took to resolve the issue. There shipping is quite slow though. So I'm 70/30 on their...

Logan front brake replacement Ripcurrent s Step thru

Timely information as my RCS front break has a leak right now. i was Thinking i might replace it with the Tektro one from earlier RCS. However, a bike shop has indicated they would work on the bike, so i might see what they do first. Rear brake needs work also. I'm near 5,000mi on the bike. Did...

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

If you go on long trips, one of the best things you can pack is a Helinox one chair. Allows you to sit and have lunch or just rest at the beautiful more remote or hidden spots you visit. Enjoy the great spots along the journey.

2018 Juiced Bikes RipCurrent S compatibility with Bafang H550

There is no need to get a spare motor, my 2018 is still going strong after a few thousand miles. Well, it's not going right now as it needs brakes like many of my bikes. I'm probably going to gut it and use the forks and brakes on my 2022 model. The newer motor and controller (mostly the...

Failure of performance upgrade RipCurrent S (V2) controller

Just a thought, but you may want to check that it was just not the cable connections that got wet or loose. I've never tried to open one of the controllers, but i think there is a good chance that they are potted making them near impossible to repair. It also makes then waterproof, so that's...

    Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU)

It maybe what someone tries. The basic design has been used in bike competitions, maybe someone has already tried that. I was mostly interested in its technical comparison to the Pinion transmission. Since it requires a custom frame like Pinion, its adoption might be limited to mostly custom...

Anyone else still putting miles on their RipCurrent S?

I'm looking at the Aventure-M, but also looking to see what Pinion based bikes are out there right now. My manual Pinion bike is pretty nice, but not my favorite.

Anyone else still putting miles on their RipCurrent S?

Yes, still using the RCS. Incredible bike. Just did a 150mile trip last weekend. Currently at 4800 miles on my newest RCS, not sure the mileage on the older one, but i did not ride it this year. My trips are generally weekends and holidays, long trips.
