Here is what I did to my Cybervelo EK7

Climbs quite well on the one steep hill in my neighborhood and I only use the top gear all the time so I didn't lengthen the chain. I use throttle for starts since pedal assist is very laggy to kick in. Most of my trips are flat to slight uphill so no issues as power is plenty and I do like a...

Here is what I did to my Cybervelo EK7

Change of plan since I didn't like pulling the empty trailer at speed I mounted the cargo box on the rack instead.

Here is what I did to my Cybervelo EK7

A nice budget ebike the Cybervelo EK7 I got needed a few upgrades for my grocery shopping trips. So I mounted a front basket, a large rear rack, a couple locks, a rear view mirror and a cargo trailer. Since I had the larger rack and still wanted to use it with the trailer I mounted the seat post...

Cybervelo EK7 arrived with no front basket mount so I did this...

The Cybervelo EK7 showed that it had the four mounting screws on the head tube to frame mount a front basket. I had bought the basket but when the bike arrived it did not have the mounting plate welded on.. I did not want a hand bar mounted basket so I tried a few ways to mount using...

My first ebike trip to Aldi on my new Wombat-1

I changed to a 58T front chain ring and then ordered a 60t which I installed yesterday and modified the chain guard. Best so far at 25 mph. I bought a new chain but since I never use the lower gears the stock chain works fine with the larger gear. The aluminum gear is also much lighter...

Some beautiful scenery and bikes in this thread. Here is my new Wombat-1 grocery getter just back from Aldi. Only thing I would like to change is a larger chainring to lower my cadence at 20+ mph.

My first ebike trip to Aldi on my new Wombat-1

Today I finally made my first Wombat cargo ebike run to Aldi and it went like a charm. No problems....could use a higher gear for top speed pedaling though. Handling seemed better with cargo load weight smooth ride. no sweat nor strain A++ A larger front chain ring would be perfect as...

Here is what I did to my Magicycle commuter bike

I am retired so no commuting. I have been setting it up for grocery store trips and cruising around the neighborhood. The bags are not heavy, about 3 lbs ea but the included motorcycle mounting hardware is very heavy. I did not use any of the included hardware.

First 350 Miles on the Kona El Kahuna

Used code M60 for $60 off sale price. I live in a hilly neighborhood and can go up the steepest hill in pas 2 or 3. Most of the time pas 1 is enough and great for no effort peddling. Sometimes I ride with no power assist pas 0. Have not tried pas 4 or 5 yet but 3 has been more than enough so...

    Build or buy?

So I think it is a great bike for your wife to try. I got one and live in a hilly neighborhood and can go up the steepest hill in pas 2 or 3. Most of the time pas 1 is enough and great for no effort peddling. Then she can add things if she wants. On mine I changed the seat and added a suspension...
