    I need help

Electrically probably very similar but finding someone with experience with this brand is more likely in a different thread or a scooter specific forum.

Ugg ! my batteries are toast

In years past Ping Battery would build custom LiFePO4 packs for LA replacements. I found them to be very responsive with a high quality product. https://www.pingbattery.com/

    Tire not holding air problem

I agree, check the valve core first. I'd pull it, but a bit of Si grease on the gasket, and reinstall with a good amount of finger torque. If the tire still loses air after a few days, I'd check the tube. The simplest way is to remove it and pump it up. Slowly run your hands over it feeling...

    Relationship between watts and torque?

There are several threads that discuss the interrelationship between torque (Nm or ft-lbs), power (watts), and speed (rpm). Here's a sampling; https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/never-too-much-torque.27940/page-2...

    Hitch Rack for 2 Allant+ 7s

The 1up USA racks are top notch quality, but there may be an issue with the rear fender and rack on the Allant+ 7s and the 1up's tire style clamp. Worth a close look before purchasing.

brake noise on disc brakes could just be the disc.

I'm all for situational awareness, esp when riding a bike. No ear buds for me. Mirrors help, too! I always announce myself when riding up behind any pedestrian on the trail. I'm always leary of those using ear buds. Several have been startled when I pass, despite using my bell and voice to...

SHOW us YOUR PIX here .... Odd, WeiRd ,UnUSuAl or EyE CaTchIng things from your rides

This is what I was taught; Similar signs are posted on several of our local public trails. The National Park Service site echoes this guide; Bicyclists yield to hikers and horses or other pack stock. Come to a full stop and step to the side to give the right of way. Be mindful of the plants...

Abus Cafe Lock Advice for Vado

I think the issues with the lock match up with the frame inserts is a function of model year. Our early production 2020 Vados both had fit issues requiring some mods to the lock.

Skinny higher pressure tires make a difference

I would agree that switching from smoother tread to the Smart Sams does increase rolling resistance, but it wasn't what I would call "a lot". There was a bit of extra noise when on pavement, which is lost energy slowing you down. On the downhill from my house my unassisted peak speed dropped...

Is a new back tire with a half-worn front OK?

This is my practice; keep the best tread on the front for the best control. My MTBing sons practice this as well, as does the local high school MTB team. I don't mountain bike, but many of our local back roads are gravel or dirt. Last summer my rear tire had worn smooth. I did rotate the...

How to Prevent Flat Tires on Electric Bikes

I think the best valve is the style that works for you. With that said, Presta valves have a couple of advantages over Schrader that make them a good choice in certain applications. For narrow rims the smaller diameter Presta valve and their accompanying 60% reduction in hole area can be a...

Having a son in the business helps, too. Bikes are impossible, parts are getting hard to get as well. 😎

    Como 2.0 chain slap/derailleur tension

I am a big believer in doing my own bike maintenance. With that said, I also frequent our LBS for ebike specific stuff, as we have for years. They aren't perfect, but they've been there for us for decades. Ride on! 😎
