I think the issues with the lock match up with the frame inserts is a function of model year. Our early production 2020 Vados both had fit issues requiring some mods to the lock.

I am a big believer in doing my own bike maintenance. With that said, I also frequent our LBS for ebike specific stuff, as we have for years. They aren't perfect, but they've been there for us for decades. Ride on! 😎
