Looking for a budget ebike for short commutes

Sounds like a hubdrive will work just fine for your uses. I don’t know if Eunorau ships to your location but there’s this rear hub drive kit that includes a torque sensor instead of the more basic cadence sensor. If you have or can acquire a good donor bike, it might be a really great option.

    Rad power battery travel case?

That’s one of the things I use it for. It has a handle and I loop a seatbelt through it or attach to one of the accessory hooks in the hatch.

    Rad power battery travel case?

What will you be using it for? If it’s to bring with you on a grocery run or transporting in the car, I find that a larger neoprene wine tote works quickly and effectively.

    The electric scooter (eScooter) thread

In addition to bikes and eBikes, some of us use stand up scooters as a convenient way to get around town, commute and some recreation. Hopefully this thread can be a place where other riders can share their experiences and questions can be answered for those who are curious about them. I’ve...

Ebikemotion X35 expectations on steep hills

I previously had an Orbea F30. Great bike. But not so great eBike. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area for context on where I used it. I did a 13 mile (each way) commute with it and hills were plentiful, steep and sustained. I'm not the strongest rider but feel relatively fit. The low...

Mid drive ebike for wet weather and the occasional passenger?

I like the Eunorau G20 on the low end and the new Tern Quick Haul in the mid end.

Lightweight, simple, versatile- help me decide between several options

That's nice. And it has a torque sensor!

    GoPro Hero 9

As my morning commute is still in the dark I can tell you a bit about my experiences. And I can tell you that the image stabilization tech isn’t great in the dark. It’s still a tiny sensor with terrible light gathering capabilities. You can gather more light by slowing down the frame rate but...

2 New Yamaha Models Coming ...

Wow. That gained a lot of weight. The current one w/o suspension fork is 43.5 pounds. Heck even the Cross Connect (which seems to be what it's more actually replacing) is lighter at 50 pounds.

Is there such a thing as a non-OEM Shimano BT-e8016 battery replacement?

Good thing you did not order from there. They do a whole lot of “bait and switch”.

Lightweight, simple, versatile- help me decide between several options

The Rad Mission is 48 pounds. That is hefty compared to the Ride1Up Roadster. Here’s another interesting option. Yes, it’s in “crowd funding” status right now but Eunorau is already a known player in the market. This particular bike is under 40 pounds, has a middrive and uses a torque sensor...

Selling a Bosch Performace cx 4 bike for a Mahle x35+ bike

Ebikemotion X35 uses a speed sensor paired to a cadence sensor. It’s actually very good for a cadence sensor bike but not anywhere as good as what you have now. So if you like an eBike that feels like a bike, keep the Grail :On. You already have a super nice bike. In this case, the grass is not...

    Vado SL for Towing Kids?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work without the proper axle. I couldn’t find a thru axle on Robert Axle without going custom but Burley had one at a lower price so I went for that.

    Vado SL for Towing Kids?

It’ll do the job just fine. I used to tow both my kids in their Burley with a 250w hub drive bike. It took the edge off but it was a heck of a workout. The middrive on the Vado SL has much more useable torque since it can leverage the rear gearing.

Radwagon 4 best value bike for short distance + hills with kids?

For that budget, I'd personally take a good look at the Eunorau G20. It has a middrive that will help with those hills in a much more efficient way than a hub motor.

Zoom electric scooter moped quick review

This is the off topic section. It's as good a place as any. A lot of us use micro-mobility vehicles as tools for covering distances. I for one hope to see more of this kind of thing. One less car is good for all of us.

Bike recommendation for lightweight and good range.

Oh cool! Looks like they're no longer using the eBikeMotion X35 system that employed a cadence+speed sensor. This seems like a pretty good value if someone is looking for a relatively light-weight bike that feels like a bike and doesn't ride in super steep or sustained hills.

I recently got Covid. Likely Omicron. AMAA

I’ve had flu that felt worse, too. But my bout of Covid lasted much longer than my typical 1-2 days of flu suffering.
