I’ve cleaned up my spare Logan 180mm rotor in preparation for tomorrow’s install of new pads (hoping… that’s Amazon’s noted delivery date)… This rotor was off my spare bike. Thickness is perfect… spec’d at 1.8mm and measured by my trusty iGaging calipers. Oh, and breaking those 6 star-head...

Shaun, can you get detailed information about the cabling from the manufacturer? Or it could be that your wiring got crimped / torn when the damage occurred... Good luck with the repair.

Ravi, another quick question… Are you guys doing any work with solid state battery tech? I gotta’ say that I’d really like to see lithium supplanted with solid state sooner rather than later. I mean lithium is great in a lot of ways, but I really don’t like living with the dangerous potential...

I was going to warn you to keep a close eye on the battery when charging it to see if it was heating up. If it got warm/hot anywhere that’d probably indicate cell unbalanced and could’ve been an indication of damage to a cell. It sounds like your battery’s BMS might’ve gone on the blink...

I did clean the pads with alcohol before I installed them recently, but I’ll do everything and I’ll check the rotors when I get the new pads, Gionni. Thanks for the thoughts!

Agreed. That’s kind of exactly what I’ve been doing, Chris. And, I’ve used the “see light through both side gaps” frequently to make sure the pads are closing evenly. I’m not an expert at this process, and maybe I’m not doing it right, but I’ve tried to adjust all those things several times...
