    E-Horn?

Yes, I installed it and LBS connected the wire to the motor. It fits and works without issues at all. I am using GoPro mount and twin adapter to place horn and my cycliq camera under the front light (SuperNova Mini mounted with Nyon in common mount). Button is on right side, next to grip and...

Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

Unfortunately it is not, since I have issue with shifting to only particular gear (and only shifting up from 5 to 6, works fine so far when shifting from 7 to 6). So it is not the shifter issue unfortunately...

Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

Looks like my second Kindernay VII (which I received as warranty replacement) start having same issues as original one just after 2.5k miles :( The first symptom is when you stop feeling "click" while switching to specific gears (in my case - 6th) and gear engagement becomes unreliable. Based on...

Arroyo C5 HMB - first impressions

Congrats! Gazelle make great ebikes! Somehow Gazelle decided to use this type of cafe lock by default. I replaced mine with variant, that doesn't lock key when got a chance. For battery removal at home you can just use 2nd key and leave the one in lock alone :)

    Gazelle Ultimate C380+ Rear Tire

I have almost 5k miles on my C380+ within almost exactly two years. They are close to end of life, but should survive to end of season (I have separate pair of wheels with Marathon GT 365 for winter). So, you should be able get more miles from yours for sure. One well-known secret is to swap...

My Hydra's Kindernay hub is leaking

I had very similar issue with mine (leaks, 5th gear stopped to engage, etc.). They replaced it (and new one already had more miles on it than faulty one), however even I asked them to get back to me with some info about why old hub failed, I never heard back :(

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

They are off-roard, but I don't see anything for puncture protection on them for main track - just sidewalls. Compare with i.e. Maraphon GT 365 from Schwalbe. Is side protection useful for MTB bikes? I don't think it makes sense for regular rides a lot...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

I think this is the case where tires to be blamed, not tubes. What tires these were?

Brand new tire blew off the rim

I totally see the point, especially for weight-optimize carbon-frame ebike. For me and many users here weight optimization is not in priority at all, since I use it not just for fun rides, but for commute and errands. I have 2 quite heavy metal motorcycle mirrors, dashcam, set of tools and lock...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

So, one more negative to the tubeless noted - regular maintenance required. Why nobody mentioned this before? I did it once and then simply built new wheel set for winter season. Changing wheels is simpler than swapping tires (even ones with tubes) and you always have a backup set of wheels...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

I have a pair of Tannus Shield installed on my old non-electric bike and they are not that bad as you may expect. The worst part was the process of installation of them - putting these things on rims is crazy difficult.

Brand new tire blew off the rim

The fact they are tubeless ready doesn't mean owners will convert them. So you are projecting your own experience to the general audience and I am doing same. Let's see what people are actually using! I opened new thread with vote about ebike tire setup - please join and vote here. I calculate...

    Tube vs. Tubeless on ebikes

In on of the recent threads there were a discussion about the tube vs. tubeless on the ebikes. There where several opinions expressed, but not sufficient statistics were shared to make a conclusion what is popular and actually being used by majority of people, at least those who visits and reads...

Brand new tire blew off the rim

Now that makes sense. This is exactly my point. It is totally fine to go tubeless because you want specific tire or just don't like tubes, but it has nothing to do with getting to the next level in weight, RR or range just because you throw the tubes away. Some tubeless people here try to make...

Brand new tire blew off the rim

Any reason for this to happen that fast. I just checked super expensive R&M and it is not tubeless. Even Specialized Turbo Vado 5.0 is not tubeless. if there is some tubeless revolution in ebike happening right now, big brands are ignoring it. Or you are talking about non-electic bikes here? I...

Brand new tire blew off the rim

Just because of tubeless? Are you comparing same tire or at least similar one? I can feed the difference between road vs offroad tire for sure, but 3mph just for tubeless? Looks way to good to be true. When you are riding on regular bike, all watts are yours and every watt matters, but on ebike...

Brand new tire blew off the rim

I am not sure why flat is such an issue honestly - two cases I posted above are the only I got for > 4000 miles within two years. Probably if you constantly getting flats you should consider tubeless, but if you don't get them, why bother? I checked an article on RR and improvement is RR is...

Brand new tire blew off the rim

Left side is more tricky - the screw went out near rim, so there are 2 wholes and 2nd is very close to the rim. Also it damaged a rim a bit - I didn't notice it before and wasted 2 tubes, which got small holes damaged by the rim itself. May be this can also be patched easier with tubeless, but I...
