TSDZ2 750w losing power on hills

So what would cause your TSDZ2 to suddenly lose power and not be able to make the climb? You've eliminated dragging brakes, and wheel issues? My rear QR skewer used to get loose on my TSDZ2 bike and let the tire sidewall scrape the chainstay. Just a small drag, but might be the final straw on a...

TSDZ2 750w losing power on hills

What display do you have? You have to check the manual for that display and see what an error 02 is. I have TSDZ2 and a TSDZ2B, but I use the VLDC5 display. On that display, error 02 is a motor error, which could be anything. By the way, the stock TSDZ2 circuit card does not contain a...

New controller will walk assist, but not throttle

You bought a brainpower controller AND the S866 display, First time you power up the display, you do it with the two intelligent jumper wires connected. The controller will inspect the sensor and phase wiring and turn the wheel forward. Then you disconnect those jumpers, insulate the ends, and...

    Vacation planning with E-Bikes

We went a little farther to Charlievoo. I had visions of riding along Lake Michigan shoreline, bit that's all resort, private or industrial, except for a few miles in a state park, Most of it is slogging along a paved path adjoinng a county highway, Some of the paths put you on the doggone...

    Rear Wheel Removal Tip

I find that my hub motor axles don't twist very much when the torque arms and nuts are doing their job, but I'm talking about dinky motors. Would be a good tip if you can find your 10mm open end wrench. Kudos to you if you can even find your 10mm sockets,

Hydraulic brake upgrade or calliper upgrade?

Wow, you had Juintech M1's and they were no good? I would figure that $175 calipers were better than that. Maybe contaminated pads?

Hydraulic brake upgrade or calliper upgrade?

Cutoffs for motor safety in case of unintended acceleration,. A good ebike tech can add a brake switch to a hydraulic lever, Bikes with throttles will go full throttle if the ground line in the throttle were to break, Seen it happen on my bikes twice. Perhaps less likely with newer bikes that...

DIY-attached fold up side table for cooking/fishing?....YEP!

Shore lunch! Nothing like fresh caught fish fried up in a (heavy) cast iron pan. Just make sure the table don't tip. Same for the bike.

    Cycling Classic Helmet Visor Brim

Bought my wife a $29 pinkish knit helmet cover off Etsy. It works to keep the sun out of eyes. The other one is pretty expensive from bikepretty as it's sold with a $120 helmet, Ladies love their fashion.

Issue - hardly any Pedal Assist power happening...

Check the walk mode on the display and see if the motor power is continuous. I believe current UK ebikes don't have throttles? That would be another way to see. I think you're on the right course to look at the PAS sensor. I did have one ebike with same problem, On again, off again pedal...

    E-bike battery replacement help

I agree. It's a typical downtube battery. If you had provided a detail picture of the cradle, a match could be found. If the cradle doesn't contain the controller, and you no longer need to use the original battery, then gromike's suggestion of replacing both is the easy solution.

Our e-bike controller and all outputs have 80+ volts

Continuity between the three phase wire and the motor housing? Sounds like a short circuit.

What should I get? New to ebike world?

You're planning to ride 80 miles a year on pavement. Can we trust a $600 ebike to power up 8 times and go 10 miles? Sure hope so, but you probably have to ride it about six times to be sure. There's always something like a loose connection or missing screw that pops up in the first few rides...

    Noisy Bafang hub motor

I did bot hear other other than motor whine in your video. It seems to me that clicks come from a loose spoke, When I hear them, I run a spoke wrench around the spokes. I've built a few wheels so I have a feel for the tension,

Just purchased Radster Road…Charger / Battery question

They run too hot w/o fans. I bought a pair of these last year 48V and 52V, https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804574524859.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.2ec81802A5Z8ME&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa My rule on charging is to never charge when we're asleep. Riding Towards Quality: A Call to End Low-Cost Compromises in the Bike Industry

Beater ebikes for me. Easy enough to upgrade the brakes, shifters and derailleurs. Motorcycles are a different game. Can't have them coming apart at speed. so D.O.T. regulations if DOT survives DOGE, will apply,
