    Any ergo grips for Dash?

I decided to use the Ergons after I noticed that the stock setup was asymmetric so that the left brake was further inward than the right. With the 5 mm longer left Ergon grip and the 15 mm wide bar end, I moved the left brake and the control pad 20 mm in. When I moved all the stuff on the right...

Elephant in the Room, Top Speed of eBikes

Of course I, the skilled and responsible rider, would like to have 30, even 40 mph available on the road :-) The problem is the irresponsible ones who would use it to mow down people in parks and on bike paths.

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

The range can be all over the place depending on how and where you ride. Speed kills the battery; uphill really really kills the battery.

    E3 Dash Fenders

Could somebody verify what's the thread in that fork cross brace hole?

Dash cruise control seems to save battery

Nah, riding in the typical 75 degree October morning :-) here I'd sweat using PAS 4. That's why I wanted a bike with a throttle and the Dash is working out really well, it's extremely versatile.

Dash cruise control seems to save battery

...compared to plain throttle mode of course. Statistical sample size is only three commutes but the first two times I was just using the throttle and had three bars left when I got to work. Today I kept the same speed, a little under 20 mph, but using the cruise control most of the time and had...

Dash fender question to you Currie folks, please?

Could you reveal what the fenders were on the Dash with City Kit on display at Interbike? If you're not going to sell the kit, at least tell where to get the fenders, if they are for sale somewhere.

    Any ergo grips for Dash?

I absolutely need my throttle to get to work sweatless, so I'll have to figure out something. Maybe I'll buy cheaper grips that I wouldn't feel so bad about mutilating with hacksaw and dremel until they fit...

    Any ergo grips for Dash?

I got Ergon GP1 Rohloff/Nexus version grips waiting for my Dash to arrive because they were said to fit a twist throttle too but now I see no way to make them work. The throttle on the Dash is so huge and the right grip so tiny that it would require either sawing off some of the wider part of...

    E3 Dash Fenders

Could the Currie folks reading this forum please please please reveal what the fenders were on the Dash with City Kit on display at Interbike? If you're not going to sell the kit, at least tell where to get fenders that fit without modifications and additions.

    New Commuter needs help

To me it seems like "nice" ebikes now start at $3000. My requirements happen to be pretty close to yours (except a little more incline, 10 miles one way, 200 lb) and I ordered a 2015 iZip Dash based on specs and reviews. You're lucky if you get to test ride first. I'll hopefully see in about a...

Got an Izip Dash today, yowzers.

The 2015 Dash comes in three sizes instead of the previous two. Unfortunately the size chart link on this page still shows the 2014 sizing. http://www.currietech.com

Wall Street Journal weighs in on ebikes blurring the lines with cars

I wonder who first lobbied BLM to view all e-bikes as motorized vehicles, unlike the agencies whose job it actually is to classify vehicles.

Wall Street Journal weighs in on ebikes blurring the lines with cars

There are already laws and regulations governing what is street legal as a bicycle and what isn't: what's the difficulty, why don't the same rules simply apply off the road? Sounds mostly like some MTB "rad hard core dudes" are just being pretentious a-holes much like some rad hard core surfers...

Dash vs the other bikes I tried

Is it possible to attach old timey toe clips to the Dash standard pedals? From the few pictures I saw, it doesn't look like it.

What ever happened to ebikes powered by hydrogen fuel cells?

I'm very interested in all real battery developments: where can this announcement by Nissan be found? Quickly googling Nissan and flow cell or flow battery didn't turn up anything.

What ever happened to ebikes powered by hydrogen fuel cells?

I think this is quite an open discussion, and I meant what does it matter that something drifts around in a promo vid? Does the promo vid show that the drifting is done via any kind of flow cell and even less what kind of capacity the cell might have? Also, Quant doesn't claim they're "going...

What ever happened to ebikes powered by hydrogen fuel cells?

Who knows, and what does it matter? If you think about it, drifting around in a promo vid doesn't actually say anything about its' power source. What matters is: does it make any sense? If they really have a revolutionary battery, why are they not selling it and making a fortune instead of...

Are protected/buffered bike lanes a good idea or Not?

Um... If I may, I'd like to note that I'm forced to mimic the modes of transportation in 3rd world countries because mass transit is commonly demonized as communist and so many people can afford to have and drive cars that the traffic jams are absolutely idiotic. My commute will quite literally...
