A little troubling happening in the e-bike world...

thank you...all good points. Sadly, very distracted drivers these days are a serious hazard to anyone riding a bicycle. Add to that, the number of drivers who have little or no understanding of what it might be like to ride a bicycle in traffic, one can only hope for the best. The most...

    redsport shock stem installation

Thanks for the info and the follow-up on riding with it. I'm still thinking about it at this point. The carbon fork on the ST-2 does a pretty decent job of absorbing pavement bumps, but any help you can get to smooth out there ride is always welcome...

A little troubling happening in the e-bike world...

I suspect (conjecture) that the space and bike culture (many more bikes) in the Netherlands is probably responsible for some of the regulation? But there may indeed be "other" reasons... agree...glad you have the NW to "bike" in...lots of good country out there! And, yes, as many other...

    redsport shock stem installation

Has anyone installed this stem on an ST-2. I am wondering if there were any difficulties with the handlebar light on the ST-2, in terms of the installation?

A little troubling happening in the e-bike world...

fxr3...not really...we can't even begin to take care of the roads we have now in this Country, so building new mini-roads seems highly implausible. And, for sure, it is very unlikely that there will be less cars on the road. Outside of major cities, one could probably count on the fingers of...

A little troubling happening in the e-bike world...

I noticed today, when checking out some e-bike videos on YouTube, that there is a lot of interest in "speed"where e-bikes are concerned. While that is perhaps well placed, I am concerned that before long we will all have to register, license, and insure our e-bikes...adding measurably to the...

    Stromer ST2 - Technical review

All very interesting...it is the weakest link in the chain so to speak in regard to e-bikes, but I'm thinking that improvements cannot be that far away. In the meantime, while the Stromer battery is pretty heavy, it is really powerful, I'll take it for the job it does!

    Stromer ST2 - Technical review

nice summary...in regard to metrics...investing in a good cycling computer for a $7K - $10K bike seems reasonable. I use a Garmin Edge Touring Pro teamed up with their activity program (Garmin Express) and really enjoy both the cycling computer itself as well as their software. There is simply...

    hauling stromer question

Jim...check out the following: (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) can't see why you couldn't drill a hole in the mount, but this might be a reasonable alternative? The special allen tool that you need to mount and dismount the rack from the hitch provides a bit of security, coupled with the...

    hauling stromer question

Jim, just curious if you purchased the one bike or two bike setup from 1up. I really like the engineering and craftsmanship of the unit. While I don't need a second track, it might be useful when riding with friends to be able to carry a couple of bikes sometimes...I found the track arms a...

They are replacing my ST-2 touch screen under warranty…..

Clearly, there are "cheaper" bikes on the market and more so each day as folks discover the "fun factor" in owning an e-bike. Stromer makes a quality product with thoughtful engineering. It is a collection of the little things that you don't notice until you need to; e.g, removing and...

    hauling stromer question

I reviewed a ton of possibilities and settled upon a hitch from 1upUSA. There are some real good videos on YouTube about this hitch. Insofar as I am aware, it is the only platform hitch that comes as a single track. All of the others I reviewed were two-bike mounts. You can of course add a...

They are replacing my ST-2 touch screen under warranty…..

I had similar problem and they sent me a new OMNI unit which I replaced myself this past Fall (nearest dealer is a 10 hour round trip drive). I too wondered about the cost of the replacement part via e-mail and, if memory serves me correctly, the cost is around $190. Hopefully, the new unit...

    Two Stromers, two problems

Not sure there is an easy fix here? It almost sounds as though there might be a problem either with the adapter to plug in the ST-1 or the receiver for the battery connection on the white bike...pure conjecture upon my part...no guesses on the black bike; best of luck solving the problem and...

    Racktime bags

Stromer uses the"narrow" version of the Racktime rack on their bikes and it takes the "properP adaptor to mount a bag that uses their rack. I ended up having to purchase it from the German eBay website because the bag I eventually selected came with an adaptor which fit only the "wide" version...
