    Trek Powerfly 5 FS 2021

I hate all these bikes with racks that use the mudguard as a structural member. It looks cool and trendy, but it is also idiotic design.

Has anyone increased their front sprocket size? Any concerns or issues?

Your bike does not have a separate chainring at all; the ring is swaged (press fit) to the crank and is not removable. So if you want an 80T ring, you need a whole new crank that allows the use of removable rings.

Has anyone increased their front sprocket size? Any concerns or issues?

The chainring linked to by Timpo would also require you to replace the crankset as well, because those rings are meant for bikes with replaceable rings, which is not what your bke has. Also as mentioned, there is a good possibility an 80T ring would not even fit onto the bike; it may not clear...

    Alternative Shifters

Other than twist shifters, Shimano shifters are all of the push-to-downshift, pull-to-upshift variety, which is what you said you had trouble using. This SunRace DLM90 Shifter is push-push.

Has anyone increased their front sprocket size? Any concerns or issues?

IMHO, get rid of the bike and get something more appropriate.

    Derailleur Upgrade

I agree, but if you must, I'd get this Shimano Deore. Do not worry about it being a so-called 9-speed; it will work. You could also get a newer generation Shimano of the "Shadow" variety, but the older slant parellelogram derailleurs are more bulletproof from a linkage standpoint.

    Bent rear tire (maybe rim?)

What you really need to know is the effective rim diameter. Measuring Effective Rim Diameter Assuming you get a rim that is identical or has the same ERD, the easiest way to replace the bent one is to remove the tire/tube and tape the new rim next to the old one, with the valve hole also in the...

Why does it seem Vado owners are getting KINEKT 2.1 vs Redshift Seat Post ?

The Kinekt design has been around for years, but the Redshift is new. So lots of user reviews and experience vs. nearly none is why more people choose Kinekt.

    Beware the Specialized "Warranty"

I do not understand this. How can you have noise and vibration from the front brake if there are no pads and you are not using it?

    Custom eBike

ASAIK, no mid-drive manufacturer other than Bafang sells their motors. I do not believe anyone sells a ready-made belt compatible FS frame either, let alone one with an integrated battery; you would have to have one custom built.

Who puts a tiny 375 watthour battery on an ebike ?

They are adjusting to who they think are the buyers. The Momentum bikes are for more casual riders, so smaller battery. Commuter bikes like the FastRoad or enthusiast FS mountain bikes get bigger batteries and extender option.

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

A work-around is the remove the caliper from the frame/fork. It is easier than having to remove the wheel, especially for a bike with a hub motor.

Who puts a tiny 375 watthour battery on an ebike ?

10-15 miles is about as far as most people ride. Maybe a bit more for those with an e-bike. While a bigger battery is "better," the battery should be sufficient for those folks.

    Best Source for Reworking a 10sp 11-46?

So you will still be using a 10 speed shifter? Not sure about SRAM's 10 speed cassettes, but on at least some models the cogs are held together with a single bolt. That bolt can be removed and you can use whichever cogs you want. So you could put some spacers on the body and then 7 or 8 cogs of...

    What Are We Paying For?

That bike has a carbon fiber frame and carbon wheels too. Carbon fiber construction is really expensive. It has to be done by hand. Even if you buy a frame and wheels direct from China, it would still likely cost over $1K just for those two items.

    Best Source for Reworking a 10sp 11-46?

I do not understand your question. What are you trying to do? What do you mean by "rework a cassette?"

    Trek Allant 9.9s chain question

You need to buy a so-called e-bike chain, which are longer than standard chains. I am not seeing any USA sellers of XTR chains in the 138 link length; they do seen to be sold in Europe. For a more readily available chain, I would recommend the KMC E12.

    Chain sizing.

No. A narrow one plus a wide one is two links. For example, this image shows five links:

High end ebikes vs High end e scooters

If it is so easy to make what you're asking for, why do you suppose no one is doing it? Do you really think it is because manufacturers are wanting to "cheat" you out of a low priced, high powered bike?

    Short person bikes

Most of the "selection" for shorter people is limited to 20" folding bikes. Haibike has a 24" mountain bike...but they do not distribute it here to the USA anymore. No one makes a smaller road bike. The one bike I can think of specifically made for the smaller rider is the Evelo Galaxy 500.
