You honesty believe local municipalities/land managers won’t have the ability to restrict eBike access on these trails, paths, and MUP’s?

If your “crusade” is successful, I fear it will result in many local/city land managers deciding to all out ban ebikes on bike trails, paths and MUPs, versus limiting access to class 1 bikes. Please step back and consider all potential outcomes of what you are petitioning for.

Sorry, but it is very unlikely you’ll find something aftermarket. Since it’s probably a Chinese “no-name” (I.e. sold by multiple brands) frame, you might find something on AliExpress.

I personally do not need or want a throttle on my bicycles. Same goes for “cruise control”. Others feel differently. Choice is good!

The screws/bolts coming loose as noted in other posts as well, further points to a design or materials issue to me. If designed properly, they should not be coming loose at the rate they are.

No one is arguing that balancing is not important. A quality/properly functioning BMS will balance the cells without charging any of the cells above 4.2V

I’m guessing mainly cost. LiPo is more expensive to manufacture, so larger packs would be less cost effective. My understanding is they have a somewhat shorter life cycle as well. LiPo is lighter and can have a more compact form factor versus Li ion, which better suits RC applications. I do...
