Vado 5.0 IGH versus Tero 5.0 (EQ pack)

Don't think so. What I’ve read, Specialized overwrites setting changes (such as cadence) that you make in the Enviolo app. Post in thread 'Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH Cadence Survey' https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/specialized-vado-5-0-igh-cadence-survey.50608/post-585981

Vado 5.0 IGH versus Tero 5.0 (EQ pack)

You should. I”m really enjoying mine! One nice thing is it uses Enviolo’s control software versus Specialized using their software to control it. Looks like there’s more user adjustability when using Enviolo’s software.

Vado 5.0 IGH versus Tero 5.0 (EQ pack)

Nope and nope. It uses the bike’s battery and goes to a default gear ratio when the bike is powered off or the battery dies.

    Firmware update for charging limit

Yes, it considers charging 0 to 100% as one complete charge cycle. So, let’s say you usually start charging when the battery is at 50% and charge to 100%, it would take two of these charge events to equal one charge cycle. Hope that makes sense.

    Port Hole into Motor Housing

The ones I’m familiar with are made of hard plastic and usually get destroyed when you remove them.

    Port Hole into Motor Housing

If you don’t plan to install fenders, you can just plug it with the correct size screw. Your bike shop will have the correct screw. They also make plastic push in plugs to plug unused threaded bosses. The bike shop should have them as well.

    Port Hole into Motor Housing

I’m guessing it is a mounting boss for a rear fender. Have you confirmed if the hole even goes all the way through the frame? It may not. You can check using a toothpick or something similar.

Crack or scratch on Turbo Vado SL 4 front rim

Nothing to keep an eye on. As others have already said, that seam is perfectly normal.

    Lectric 3.0 large headlight

The actual LED doesn’t, but the power regulation circuitry does generate heat and requires cooling.

No argument there! I was replying to claims that BEVs don’t have cooling systems to maintain…..which they do, and can actually be just as, if not more complex than ICE cooling systems.

I don’t think that’s necessarily true….. Holy coolant lines! 🤪 Nissan Leaf radiator assembly. Looks very ICEish! https://nissan.7zap.com/jp/gr/leaf/ze0/3+1511+65535/c/214/

👍 …….also, it has a radiator, pumps and hoses that require the same maintenance and suffer the same failures as those on an ICE vehicle.

While the battery on your Leaf is air cooled (most EVs have water cooled batteries), I’m pretty sure it has a cooling system (liquid) to cool the motor and electronics…..and will require maintenance at some point too. Just say‘n! 😜
