Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

Performance Speed Line Gen 4 I bought it in 2020

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

I’ve got the Intuvia so no cadence / power outputs I’m afraid. Yes was in Turbo mode for max assist to get top speed for this test. Yes HS - the motor never cuts out of boosting, it’s just I run out of gears/resistance on Enviolo. Tire pressure - would have to check but run quite firm.

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

ok so a short ride today with cadence sensor on - basically needing cadence of around 110rpm to hit over 40km on the Bosch headunit (Garmin usually 1-3kph slower) Couple of screenshots: Unsustainable in my mind - I'm not a featherweight by any means, but whilst weight will make some...

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

I'll move my cadence sensor off my gravelbike and onto my SC2 and give it a test to see what my cadence is required to exceed 40kph

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

Thanks @Brendon@OEB - I've explored a smaller hub at back and I believe there's only a 1 tooth smaller option so unlikely to gain me a lot of benefit in the scheme of things. And yes, definitely it's undergeared for high speed in my mind - just not enough resistance to hit and maintain 40km/hr...

Error 640 on Bosch Powertube 500 battery after 1000 hours of use

Is there anyway we can check the current battery cycles for our bikes or do we need a diagnostic tool for that too? 600 cycles didn’t seem a heap initially but then I realise if I charge my bike 1/week on average and I’ve had it for 3yrs I’m likely only in the 150-200 charge cycles range

    Multitinker Owner First Week Impressions

yes, I can keep my cadence higher on my rohloff, but I'm just "spinning" and not going fast at all. Having a higher care, thus more power, I'm dropping cadence but my speed is going to increase (although given it will be much harder to maintain, I likely will burn out quicker!) Couple of pics...

    Multitinker Owner First Week Impressions

In non-electric bikes, absolutely as most people find it harder to push against the increased resistance, even in lower gears. on my road bike going up Hackthorne Road for example (I know you'll know that @peterh_nz) my cadence will drop to 60-75 depending on how strong I'm feeling however my...

    Multitinker Owner First Week Impressions

One of the challenges with “average cadence” is how inaccurate it is when riding hilly areas - most people’s cadence drops going up hills (more experienced riders know to try maintain cadence and go to lower gears, but on steepest hills sometimes you’re IN the lowest gear and can’t get your...

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

Hey brains trust. I’ve an SC2 high speed with Enviolo - Many threads here around how it’s under geared for high speed and cadence too high to maintain 40kph or above. Got me thinking - would it be possible to replace Enviolo with standard Rohloff hub and manual shifter ? I’m not talking about...

    Giving up my car

I have the basic Intuvia not smart at all, anything smart I’d want I’d get from from my Garmin. My wife’s Kiox 300 on her MC Mixte Smart System I think is worse from a UX - as others have said, the reliance on phone for “smarts” the $hit implementation of motor immobiliser, the clunky way to...

    Giving up my car

I'd never rely on the Bosch display for this stuff - mapping, health data (heart rate etc) I'd use my Garmin Edge for. The only issue is Bosch won't share Power data to third party apps whcih sucks - my Brose on Specialised eMTB shares all this to my Garmin Fenix. Rather than invent half baked...

    Has anyone used a Speedbox 3.0 B on Supercharger2?

I do love the Brose on my eMTB Turbo Levo Comp Alloy - it's a beast of a motor and SO quiet:

    Has anyone used a Speedbox 3.0 B on Supercharger2?

thanks mate - I did read that, although I had just woken up when I did. I interpreted it as for those markets that have very strong compliance regulations (like Germany) the motors are hardcoded for max speed, but in other markets it's a firmware setting for HS/non-HS. My parents' aging...

    Has anyone used a Speedbox 3.0 B on Supercharger2?

yes, I know of some hardware dongles that do it, but I presume Bosch may have some firmware options as well - it would make sense for them to build their motors all the same and then just limit them via software - Similar to Microsoft Windows. Build one version of the OS and then just turn...

    Has anyone used a Speedbox 3.0 B on Supercharger2?

I wasn’t there at the time, but my wife said the LBS offered to delimit her MultiCharger Mixte non-HS once the Bosch warranty expired. This is in NZ

    Giving up my car

I have a Supercharger 2 HS Vario and my wife has a Multicharger Mixte Vario 'smart' system. My thoughts: If this is a car replacement you should absolutely get the HS - you'll want/need it. BUT - the Vario is undergeared for 45kph - you simply can't maintain a cadence high enough to hit 45kph...

    5000km Anniversary for SuperCharger 2

Yes it’s a super interesting place with high geological diversity in a very small place. You might like to check out some of my recent bikepacking adventures then around the north and south islands: https://samuelmcneill.com/adventures/

    5000km Anniversary for SuperCharger 2

18months after posting this thread I’ve clocked over 10,000km on my SuperCharger on a frosty ride to the beach.! A good milestone on a great bike. (Precise spot where I hit 10,000km - nice little reserve. Great start to the weekend

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

I've been pretty careful with mine and when stored in the garage etc, it's always upright. The only time it's been on it's side is when I've had to camp in the middle of nowhere and nothing to lean it against. Most times I'll lean it against a bush or tree so it's pretty upright. I'm happy to...
