SuperCharger 2 GT Rohloff with a Performance Line CX eBike System 2 motor

I get your feeling, and I too always want to make sure what I buy is the latest model so it ages well. That said, I’ve got the SC2 with your motor and my wife has the so called “smart system” on her Multi charger mixte - I don’t see too much on there to rave about to be honest. It still feels...

Spotted an older R&M in Switzerland

yes, I had to walk up there with my suitcase to our hotel! glad we got the free transport ticket from the hotel so we could ride the MRT up and down the hill to the waterfront each day. Beautiful city.

Spotted an older R&M in Switzerland

Thanks @Gaylween - I had an amazing time in Lausanne on my wider trip - there are a few photos here if you're interested (I'm sure you'll recognise a few places): Favourites (adobe.com) 2016 Roadster hey! Positively vintage! I was impressed that Switzerland and Germany had so many bikes...

Hypotheticals - would you replace your R&M with another R&M??

Wow - you've done some legit distances on your collection of bikes mate! Impressive stuff. I'd love to see some photos of your touring set up if you were willing to share? Interesting problems you've encountered - I'm sitting around 11,500km on my SC2 now and it's mostly still going in good...

Spotted an older R&M in Switzerland

Yes, Switzerland is tough on our exchange rate - in Zurich 2x Japanese bento lunchboxes and 2x drink = NZD$114 ! Lausanne, 3x vegetarian taco & 1x quesadilla & 2x soft drinks = NZD$85 Munich proving a bit cheaper. Didn’t manage to get to Amsterdam this time - keen to return for that though

Spotted an older R&M in Switzerland

Nope, been all over the place. My daughter did a semester in Glasgow and I was picking her up from there, so we have been: Scotland: Glasgow, St Andrew’s, Edinburgh Ireland: Dublin Northern Ireland: Ballyclare, Giants Causeway, Belfast England: London France: Paris Switzerland: Lausanne (on...

Spotted an older R&M in Switzerland

Hey @Stefan Mikes Great read of your time in London - I visited many of those places too. We have Lime e-bikes in NZ but I never rode one before as I’ve got my own ones to ride. They are clunky but got me on a bike and having fun. We do ride on left hand side in NZ so it was very intuitive...

Tubed vs Tubeless - what are you doing on your R&M?

I have tubeless gravel kings on my gravel bike and mostly good, although my rear had some weird structural defect where it started bulging and leaking in lots of places - Replaced it but hard to find GK’s at the time so got a Specialized equivalent

Spotted an older R&M in Switzerland

I’m on holiday and in Lausanne today (a long way from New Zealand!) and I’ve been impressed with the number of e-bikes kitted out for carrying young kids around. I saw this one today - I don’t even recognise the model?! I’m enjoying Lausanne - looking out over Lake Geneva this morning and...

    Benefits of R&M?

Yes I believe there are three - Auckland (biggest city) Wellington (Capital city), Christchurch (where @peterh_nz & I both live and bought our bikes within a few weeks of each other )

    Benefits of R&M?

I saw a couple of R&M at Scarborough Beach last weekend actually.

    Benefits of R&M?

Just ticked over 11,000km on ride home from work today on my SC2. I’d give a qualified yes about replacing it with an R&M as there’s certainly not a heap of choice for like for like features in my market.

    Adjusting Wheel Circumference On Intuvia

Well turns our smallest wheel circumference I can enter is 2080 - and made no difference to reported speed vs Garmin GPS

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

Sadly no - only a couple of mm clearance already with the 55mm chain ring and the frame: Is the Rapanui finished at long last? Might ride it tonight - off to the Free Speech Union meeting featuring Lord Sumption from UK now …. (On my R&M of course!)

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

OK and now here is the test on my Gravelbike with a Rohloff and Gates belt drive with GravelKings SK Plus 700x35 - not super fast tyres and quite wide, so takes a bit of effort to get up to 40kph+ (quite windy today too): So hit 42kph with 96rpm cadence - MUCH more acceptable. So shows that...

    Adjusting Wheel Circumference On Intuvia

Hi, Many others have discussed the disparity in speed between Bosch headunit speed output vs GPS recorded speed. Solution is to change the wheel circumference as per JV Bulman's post https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/disparity-between-kiox-speed-gps.41894/post-518883 My SC2 Bosch...

Possible to convert an Enviolo to a Rohloff?

So I went and test drove a Specialized Vado SL (you'd be happy @Stefan Mikes !!) - it doesn't have the full boost but assist drops out at 45kph - I was able to go on a couple of side roads for a short test ride, and got it over 40kph - lower boost = significantly more effort so heart rate spiked...
