Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I was able to get in some riding today, rain be damned. The ride went well. I did some road riding and climbed a lot of hills, a route I’ve ridden many times with various bikes. I’m starting to get an idea of the real world range capabilities as it pertains to my riding. I currently have around...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I'm well aware of all of this but disagree about not comparing. The purpose of getting the SL was to provide a similar performance to my Sirrus but with added benefit of being able to use the motor on more difficult climbs. The issue I'm having is that in order to have a similar performance to...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

On line vs in store returnability is an odd, store dependent thing. I'm not really sure how it works but the guys at my local shop insinuated that if I ordered on line and had it shipped to them they'd still make some profit for the sale. All E-bikes must be shipped to and picked up at a store...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I definitely need to try this as I don't completely understand these settings no matter how much I've read about it. How do you think the battery consumption would be at the 35/100 settings?

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Yes, I ordered directly from Specialized and they have the 30 day return policy on their site, I've actually had to use it once before. It was shipped to my local dealer who does not have a return policy. They actually suggested that I order it from Specialized for the return policy.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Some more observations… I rode the bike today and determined my 30/30 Eco setting is pretty useless. It still feels like it introduces drag as opposed to support. The stock setting of 35/35 is better but still doesn’t quite give me the same performance of my much lighter Sirrus. I rode up a...

Probably but I don’t want to match the Tero, just the Sirrus😉

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I picked up my new Vado SL 5 EQ yesterday and put 21 miles on it today. I currently own a Tero X 5 and a Sirrus X 5 with the current frame design. Both of these bikes are fantastic but I probably enjoy the Sirrus the most. I know the frame design is polarizing and I didn't like it when I first...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I ordered the SL 5EQ, the current price was just too good. I prefer the looks of the SL1 over the SL2, but do really like the 2 and would buy one but the carbon version is too expensive and I believe the alloy version will likely be too heavy. I went with the 5 because I prefer the group set...

Quick question about the SL 5 EQ brassy yellow. Is the paint glossy or satin?

Yep, most bicycles are these days, both e-bikes and non.

    Tero X5 New Colors

It looks like Specialized will be offering gloss metallic deep lake and satin burnt gold metallic for the Tero X 5.0. My favorite color is the deep lake. I love my X5, probably the best bike I’ve owned. This new color has tempted me to sell my onyx red X5 and get the blue. It wouldn’t be a very...

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

Actually, the warranty most likely would cover that. I have a carbon Sirrus X5 with a kickstand that has tipped over once and suffered no damage.

Vado SL 2 Carbon LTD premiered today!

With the weight increase, and I assume an even larger increase for the upcoming alloy models, it does make sense to at least consider the full power models instead. That said, the more I see of the new SL 2 the more interested I get. I really dig this bike but will likely wait for the alloy models.

    2025 Vado

The main difference is the drivetrain using the Shimano CUES instead of the Sram. I don't know if the CUES is an upgrade or not.

    2025 Vado

I'm pretty sure there will be one. I think they're waiting until stock gets a bit lower on the current model.
