New Member from San Antonio, Texas. Hello and a question.

Welcome Jet Peddler Many members here have done conversions so they will have some good info. I lack the tools, hand strength and patience for it. However this is the link to some reviews of conversion kits. https://electricbikereview.com/category/kits/ Please post what you find.

Electric Bike for Really Tall Riders.

Good article, thanks. It also lists the price between $8,000/€7,400 and $9,000/€8,326. Pretty steep for my wallet but if you’re a basketball player in the NBA it would be pocket change.

Electric Bike for Really Tall Riders.

Wish I could do the conversions in my head. I have a couple Apple products and I simply ask Siri for the conversions to metric numbers.

Electric Bike for Really Tall Riders.

Found this on Electrek. The brand is Dirtysixer and they are adding a mid-drive ebike to their line up. It a huge bike with 36"/91.4 cm wheels. Still in prototype stage, it is to have Shimano E8000 mid-drive motor paired with Shimano’s internal yet removable 500Wh batteries. Didn't see any info...

    New Creo Owner, first impressions

Congrats on the new wheels! Nice description. Those darn tailwinds can be so unreliable. Just when you expect them to show up, they lay down and take a nap. Headwinds, on the other hand always show up, especially when they are not wanted.

    Wanted: light ebike with throttle

Gocycle G4 Under 40 lbs and foldable. You may not need suspension. A good suspension seat post can really help smooth the ride. Please post what you find.

Belt drive in a full suspension bike question

Wow, I googled the picture and that’s a beautiful bike. Congrats. I’m a little confused. Are you talking about cutting the frame on your new bike? Why not ride and enjoy it?

    Allant 9.9 Noise

I hate when weird noises happen. A couple very unusual thoughts - Seatpost. I’ve heard of seatposts making various weird noises while pedaling. Try a little lubricant on the post. - Record the noise. Only if this can be done safely! Make a recording on your phone, video or audio. It might...

First E-Bike! $4k Budget and I am confused with options

Sounds like you need a class 3 for your need. Were you able to test ride the ones you listed? Maybe you should grab that Gazelle before someone else does.

Given the difficulties finding spare parts, why would a US buyer buy anything other than Bosch?

Stefan, Based on the opinions of the Bosch members here and the mechanic at my lbs, I did not change the chainring on my Trek. It’s still 38 teeth. I still may try it. Right now my class one Trek ebike is the one I use for group rides, sometimes as many as 20 riders tightly grouped together...

Given the difficulties finding spare parts, why would a US buyer buy anything other than Bosch?

And another thing, the op has a good point regarding replacement parts and after sales support.

Given the difficulties finding spare parts, why would a US buyer buy anything other than Bosch?

I found it! Here is the original thread regarding Bosch motors and swapping chainrings. If you scan through the thread you’ll see input from William-Bosch Team and Stephen-Bosch Team. They said a different chainring may trigger an error code...

Given the difficulties finding spare parts, why would a US buyer buy anything other than Bosch?

So true Stefan. Bosch system is so closed that replacing a chainring with another size requires a permission from both Bosch and the OEM? A bike owner should be able to change the chainring and gears on their own bike. I wanted to put a larger chainring on my class 1 Trek (gen 3 Bosch). It...

    Thank You

It’s all about the price. If you like the bike and are ok with the price, go for it! You’re gonna have a blast. 🚴🏾‍♂️😊 Keep in mind it’s your first ebike and like many of us (myself included!) you might find yourself wanting another better one. Many fun miles to you.
