    Derailleur Upgrade

That actually makes sense. The only time I've seen replacement of a group set making sense is when an owner is satisfied with a current set up but has pretty much worn out the current group set on their bike and is not tempted by the latest and greatest. IMHO in the ebike world we don't really...

Has anyone changed the freewheel on the Lectric 2.0?

I've got the 11-34 on a 1.0 and happy I did. If something goes wrong with the power and you have to peddle a 60lb bike up a hill you will be happy for the lower gear. I had to adjust the "b" screw on the deraileur a little to get the chain to work but my chain had about 400 miles on it. When...

    Tires for the 2.0

The Kenda "Flame" is also found under the brand name Sunlite. Same factory, same tire. Kenda has a pretty good rep.

    Tires for the 2.0

The only reason for 4" tires is to use in snow or at the beach. Is that your plan? Otherwise most of the "experts" feel it's just a fad. I have the 1.0 with 4" tires and I replaced them once worn out for 3.5" Kenda kraze (as narrow as the rims allow). Better ride, steer, feel and added...

Suspension Seat Post for Lectric XP Step-Thru 2.0

The standard Lectric 1.0 suspension seatpost is a whopping 500mm long. Most suspension seatposts are 350mm and a few 400mm. Diameter is 31.6mm for the Lectric. All will need to be 3-4" exposed since some of the guts don't fit in the seat tube. In other words consider seat thickness 2"+ or...

Has anyone changed the freewheel on the Lectric 2.0?

I've had mine on for 3200 miles, it's a hub drive ebike so rarely do you stand on the pedals to go uphill putting very little stress on the drive train right? Use a chain wear guage every 500 miles, a worn chain will damage the freewheel pretty fast though...

    Lectric Defects

I too could not see a defect watching the video over and over. Tried my best to see something but could not. I showed our lead shop mechanic (I started working at a bike shop recently) he could not see or figure out what Corp Clegg is trying claim as a defect. Maybe if it was seen first hand...

    Lectric Defects

When riding the bike there should not be a feeling like the wheel is out of balance. If so there is an issue with the wheel. If it were me, I'd ride the other as it is rare for two bikes even when coming from the same factory to have identical problems. Then when the one bike rides smooth you...

    Lectric Defects

The issue I had was prior to the year warranty was up and after riding the bike 2235 miles, the front wheel bearings started squeaking and I took the bike to work (I work at a local bike shop) I had to replace the bearings & cone nuts and contacted Lectric with our standard rate to repair and...

    Lectric Defects

First off I am sure from my personal experience Lectric customer service will come through and address the problems you report. The brake rotors on a bicycle are not the same as in a automobile or other larger equipment. The rotor is intentionally lightweight like all bicycle parts (within...

Has anyone changed the freewheel on the Lectric 2.0?

You can still use the new freewheel. You will have to adjust the deraileur. Watch the Park Tool video on YouTube . It's actually pretty easy when following the video.

What's a good second power adapter for the Lectric XP Step Through

More power can't be done without changing controller & motor. Did you mean more capacity/range? If so I've been down that road and first tried a separate 20ah (vs stock 9.6ah) mounted to the rear rack. Then became concerned about creaking noises at the hinge & latch and suspected the battery...

excited new rider and a few questions

    1. Should not click, find the thumb screw at the end of your shifter cable nearest to the rear wheel at the derailleur. Rotate it 1/2 turn in either direction. If that fixes it your done, if not turn one full turn in the opposite direction. Tip: use some white out to mark a small dot on the...

    Issue with Folding frame latch

Bear in mind that I have a xp 1.0, it appears that the pin in mine is press fit. Press fit works just like a nail in wood with the slightly pointed end being pounded in with a hammer and the tight fit keeping the pin in. You will need a proper sized punch to reach down into the hole, then tap...

Have any XP riders hit the beach yet?

Live at the beach in Florida. Stock xp is perfect for the beach. Use walk mode in the soft sand to get the bike to waters edge. Watch out for the holes kids love to make they tend to blend in and surprise you! Have fun

what's the the handlebar width on the xp 2.0? Thanks much.

I only know the 1.0 is only 575mm, I know the 2.0 is wider. I suspect the 2.0 is the next standard size up at 620mm. Any wider would probably be too much leverage on a folding stem and would likely make it less "foldable".
