    XPremium tannus armour inserts

Generally, a flat tube with no obvious reason that shows up just after a tire service is due to a pinched tube. Either tube pinched between the rim and tire bead, or the edge of the tannus and tire. The tube has to be carefully spread inside the tire, very difficult to do when dealing with a...

    Second battery plug and play

Bunch of these available on AliExpress. For a Heavy Duty version, check Area 13 Ebikes (perviously know as Bolton bikes). I have the one from Area 13 using a Lectric 10ah and a 15ah Unit Pack Power batteries. Works seamlessly. It first uses power from the battery with the most charge/higher...

    New Display

Hmmm, you posted to the Lectric brand thread and the assumption is you have a Lectric XP, Lectric lite, or Lectric deluxe. If you have a different brand you'll likely get better information on the thread for that brand. There is a thread that covers DIY bikes and some of the generic brands...

    New Display

Generic displays are usually tied into the controller and sold as a set. Since the controller is installed into the bike's top tube you would need to find a controller the same size. If you're open to mounting the controller anywhere then it's pretty easy to find. Post the reason why you...

    XPremium tannus armour inserts

I agree, I also had better experience with Flat out. Home Depot has a great price on the equipment version that works great on fat tires like the Lectric XP has. Not so good on skinny standard width bicycle tires though

    XPremium tannus armour inserts

Haven't had any flats last 3k miles since my pain in the @$$ tannus install. Tried slime and others before and didn't like not being able to get a patch to hold if the slime didn't fix the issue, something in it that prevents the patches from staying on. I would suggest tannus, and a decent...

    No Power

Error 10 is a communication receive error. The original poster is not using a meter that would not help with a communication error anyway since it would be a binary signal. There is no specific (receive from) indication but I would suspect it would be the cable connection between the display...

Will XP2.0 load through Subaru Outback rear hatch?

When standing upright, then the wheels will let the bike roll. It is awkward since the 2.0 is over 60lbs. Had the lite been available and knowing what I know after 6500 miles I would get the lite.

Will XP2.0 load through Subaru Outback rear hatch?

They tip over standing upright. I put two in the back of my Kia soul

Will XP2.0 load through Subaru Outback rear hatch?

You can definitely fit it in. The folded bike can lay on it's side an is more stable on it's side anyway. Peddles fold up and there is a derailuier guard to protect the bike on it's side

Mid-drive conversion on XP (or Lite)? BBSHD

I think it may make more sense to get a real MTB that folds. https://flatbike.com/product/809/ It will take the standard BBSHD 68-74mm instead of the 100mm that the Lectric XP bottom bracket requires. The stock Lectric battery bms prevents you from using the full amps that a 1000w BBSHD can...

    Cadence sensor/no-pedal mod ?

While you're at it dual batteries might be helpful. I have this that allowed me to mount a huge 20ah second battery to the rear rack while still keeping the OEM battery. https://area13ebikes.com/collections/batteries/products/dual-battery-parallel-connector Good source for other cool ebike...

    Cadence sensor/no-pedal mod ?

    Cadence sensor/no-pedal mod ?

FYI but doubtful you'll get caught, you are converting the bike to a moped under legal definition. Cop sees you're going over 20mph without peddling, busted lol. Some States treat mopeds without any regulations anyway so no worries if you live in one of those.

XP 2.0 Step-thru and pedal height question

Since you're on the fence and asking this question I will assume that you are not a serious or aggressive cyclist. You will likely appreciate the convenience of the step thru, ease of getting on and off the bike, ability to stack the rear rack with cargo, and comfort of the clearance at a stop...

    Registering eBike

Oh, and your insurance if you have coverage will have a $1000 deductible that won't cover the cost of the bike after depreciation. Sorry, live in a high theft area so been down that road a few times, I'm a bit jaded.

    Registering eBike

I wouldn't do it unless it was required under local ordinance. Waste of money doesn't help recovery. Record the serial number, keep the invoice proving purchase and if it's stolen it is doubtful anyone but you will care. The police have better things to do and won't bother to enter a...

    Handle bar diameter?

25.4mm at the clamp 22.2mm at the rest. Look close at the clamp area and you'll see that it flairs larger under the clamp. I have the XP 1.0 and I'm pretty sure all models are the same. Most bmx bars are different so you're looking at a bit of a hunt. Most modifications to bmx end up...

    Shocking Experience

There is no ground fault. The tingle you feel is static electricity generated by the high voltage lines. The slight difference in electrical potential between your body vs the bike allows for a static charge to move across the conductor that is your metal brake lever. I suspect that it was an...

    11 -34 freewheel

1/32 is such a tiny amount that it is just a slight difference in how the axle is sitting in the dropouts. If the calipers aren't perfect center, you can get slight rubbing just fixing a flat tire. YouTube videos are available for explaining how to adjust calipers. No need to disassemble...
