    New Reflexes...

I got more ride time on the new controller... ...it's not bad. It doesn't have that V8 instant power/tq feel to it. It feels like an AWD turbo V6.

    Securing the RadMini?

My renters insurance covers my bike on or off my property. $250 deductible. I'm not too worried about theft ;) - that's an added bit of security. For chain locks I use a heavy duty box chain that fits nicely on my bike out of the way and a fat tire u-lock.

Just curious. If I removed front wheel, would rover fit in Mustang?

You may be able to fit it. But I'd say no. You'll fight it too much just to keep the pedals or handle bars from scratching the interior or the interior scratching the bike. Best to just get a hitch and platform rack for the back (yes, platform rack). Don't forget that this beast comes in at 61...

New tires and rotating tires on Rad Rover

Hmmmm well Im going to roll my new RR at 10 psi for a couple hundred miles and see what that gets me tire wise. I'll take measurements and compare the old RR wear data with the new RR wear data.

New tires and rotating tires on Rad Rover

Mr. Gold - What PSI are you running your factory tires at? I put about 200 miles on my one radrover and the rear tire looks a bit worn.. The PSI on those tires are around 20-22 psi. Only time it was down to 10 psi was during my camp trip on the beach. But sand is far more forgiving than...

    Just ordered my Rover....

The wires to the factory light are 50v. The reducer inside the headlight housing is going from 50v to 3v. Hence why the factory light is pure crap. However... you want some major light - we are currently testing out some prototypes of some plug-n-play headlights for Rad Power Bikes or any...

    Father needs tires - help!

So pretty much I screwed up. I'm kicking myself for not buying a black radrover. I got the white one, love it, want to enjoy more time on it. My dad wants to get a radrover as well.. ....so I made it more appealing (bought a black one on Thursday, be here Tuesday 1/31/17) - I'm giving him some...

    PAS on hills

Will do. I got my new (warranty) controller in a few weeks ago to replace the defective one on my white 2016 RR, so I'm sure it'll have the same firmware as my new radrover that's currently sitting on a UPS truck in Oregon. However my warranty replacement unit looked used - so maybe the firmware...

    PAS on hills

I'm with you, Vincent. I do not like the new controller all that much.. I'm more of the speed and watts over the pas = watts only portion. I have a new radrover coming in on Tuesday. Wonder if there will be an even newer version firmware lol

    RadRover firmware update?

I have both the new and old firmware. I'm still mixed thoughts about the new firmware - more so the battery life with consistent power usage. But yes - they will update your firmware for $25 if you ship to them. I only got mine for free because of warranty issue (controller pumping 50v to...

    PAS on hills

Hey guys - I did a video of how the PAS levels work with the new firmware -which is based on WATTAGE OVER PAS. The older firmware is based on SPEED OVER PAS. In simple terms - for example - PAS Level 2 caps out around 150w (out of avail 750w). It doesn't care what speed you travel be it 3 mph...

    RadRover pedal assist levels

Exactly!! My father lives 3 miles away and he wants to get this bike to ride to my home to hang out (we are starting a business and have a lot of 3D prototype printing to do) as well as ride to the local brewery down the street. But more importantly this gives me another bike to take with me...

    RadRover pedal assist levels

Hmmm intersting. Thanks for the reply, Mike. While I'm not initially excited about the change of power management - I am willing to give the new controller a try. I'll need more ride time to actually get a feel for the new setup. ..we could just come to a compromise and just toss in a SPORT...

    RadRover pedal assist levels

So I got my new controller in from Rad Power Bikes. Sadly I don't think it's working correctly. Pretty much easiest way to describe this issue.. PAS 1 = 70 watts. No matter what speed I travel at, 8mph or 20mph, it will always show around 70 watts. PAS 2 = 175 watts. Again - no matter what...

PAS too fast Rad Rover 2016

I got my new controller in.. it's not functioning right. I am uploading a video now. Does your controller show you power usage past XX amount of speed? For example: PAS1 = 70 watts. I can be going 8mph or 20 mph and it'll constantly display 70 watts.. I did notice that it's more tame. The...
