How to turn handlebar 180• for easier reach.

Call customer service. They will know if the stem has changed from 2.0 to 3.0. I would doubt it.

NYC PSA E-bike Battery Fires 11/11/22 NBC News

Very good article over on a competitor's website, "Electric Bike Report." I enjoy reading both websites. https://electricbikereport.com/electric-bike-battery-fires/ Basically, NEVER buy a cheap, non OEM battery, or rebuild with anything but Grade A cells (LG, Panasonic, etc). And soon, all...

Known Issues & Problems with Lectric eBikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I've discussed the "buzzing" issue on other threads, but in the interest of offering a solution here, to this old thread, thought I'd chime in. After a bit of experimenting on our XP 2.0 st bikes, the 11mph buzzing is apparently a sympathetic vibration in the rear metal fender. The buzzing can...

    Lectric XP premium chain guard

I am sure there is one out there, either on Amazon or eBay. But for all the decades I've been riding I've used a cheap metal clip to fold my pantsleg and keep it far away from grease. The folks at Lectric have been nothing but helpful to me over the past few years. Perhaps they don't have a...

Is there a bike lock that is clearly better

How vain are you? But that I mean would you mind altering your bike somewhat so that nobody wants it anymore? Just spray paint parts of it with day glow orange paint. Still the same great bike, but now very hard for a thief to do anything with it. And also easy to identify if it ever does get...

Some Lectric XP Step-Thru 3.0 questions before I purchase it.

The XP3 is a wonderful bike for an amazing price, but you're asking for something that it's not. First of all it weighs over 60 lb, you take out the battery and it may at best be down to low 50's. I suppose you could put quick disconnect on the front axle and take off the front wheel. The...

How Many Here Have Rotated the Stem on XP 3?

Myers830, do you know the model number of the adjustable stem? Is it on Amazon? Curious.

How Many Here Have Rotated the Stem on XP 3?

Did it to our two XP2.0st bikes. Handlebar then felt a bit too close. Easy to get at the large bolt, but it's on there really tight. Bike will fold differently afterwards--we just take the handlebars off and bungee them to our folding wire basket in back.

    Lectric XP 3 Handlebar Question

I, too, found the stock handlebar reach to be uncomfortable and I reversed the stem. I then found the handlebars to be a tad too close when dismounting, so I pushed them forward a bit with a 3" extender. Keep in mind that the stem will now fold in a different way when collapsing the bike. I...

    Just purchased/received (8/25/23) a Lectric XPedition... (2 failed tubes)

We've had two of the XP2.0st bikes since November 2021. One of the mods was to put FlatOut into all four tires. To my amazement, I've never had to touch the tires since then, never had to add air. About 500 miles of use.

    dog carriers, maybe trailers

Couple of years ago we bought two "Allen" stroller/trailers. Big enough for our two grandkids as a stroller, but in two minutes it can convert into a nice dog trailer. Amazon price jumps all over the place; it was $100 a couple of years ago. Well built...

    XP Lite Max Charge Rate?

From what I've casually read, the Lectric charge connector on our XP 2.0 bikes can handle up to about 4 amperes. I don't know if your bike uses the same connector. Literature also says that many 18650 cells are longest-lived if charged at ~ 0.5C, or 0.5 x 7.8AH = 4 amps.

Would you want cost $799 for A2 folding ebike?

Will parts be readily available 5 years from now? How many bikes are out there? That's one thing I like about the inexpensive Lectric 2.0 bikes we bought (~$1K) a couple of years ago. There's 200,000+ of them by now, and an enthusiastic young support team that speak fluent English in Phoenix...

    Unboxing and assembling

There seems to be a whole lot of cell chemistry folklore. To my knowledge, NiMh cells don't have the memory effect, either. It's the old NiCad cells that could be ruined by partial discharge. NiMh cells are used in hybrid vehicles, for several reasons: (1) not looking for range, just enough...

    Unboxing and assembling

Source for your advice, please. I've always read that lithium cells have minimal memory effect, unlike NiCads.

Can someone explain to me e-bike maintenance

I rode a turbo'ed Honda 550 (a prototype that was never sold commercially) in L.A. for years as my daily driver. Chains don't "stretch" in the conventional sense; rather, the metal-against-metal bearing surfaces grind themselves away, as they are put under high pressures just as the link begins...

Is it safe to freely use the throttle WHILE PEDALING on a mid drive?

Wow, seems to be sensitive subject. On our Lectric 2.0st bikes I've disabled PAS entirely, as it seemed to be quirky to me when turning at slow speeds. So what we ride are essentially heavy-ish generic 7-speed bicycles with a throttle-controlled 1hp motor, as on a low-powered scooter. Yes, I...

Finally, a solution to XP 2.0 buzzing

We've had two of the XP2.0st bikes for about 18 months and love them. Great machines in nearly every respect, but as noted on this forum before there seems to be a "buzzing" rattle that comes from behind the rider at a certain speed when the motor is under load. I've traced it to a sympathetic...

    XP2.0 long range battery

I would assume the top and bottom voltage ranges are the responsibility of the controller and charger. All the new battery provides is increased capacity through the use of larger-capacity lithium cells. The battery is comprised of 52 individual cells, each slightly larger than a AA cell. 13...
