Suspension seat post vs suspension fork

I would recommend both as there are times when both are useful. Would recommend getting the front suspension, with lockout feature stock, then adding the suspension seatpost of your choice. I have the BodyFloat and love it but it is a the top end of the price range and i honestly didn't test...

    Electric Bike Carrier Racks

We have the Kuat NV bike rack rated for 2 bikes at 60 lb each which probably means it will hold 2 bikes at over 200 lbs each and it is the best bike carrier I've ever owned, and I have a few just hanging on the garage wall. Easy to install and load and unload bikes, plus a built in work stand if...

    New Nitro Owner

I just added ergo grips to my ebike and the right hand throttle side grip was about two inches longer than the stock grip. I just repositioned the shifter, bake lever and throttle and the grip fits great. No problem with reaching the shifter and the ergo grips are a huge improvement in...

    Alt Water Bottle Holder

I think this would mess with my Feng Shui, lol. Buy a clamp on water bottle holder from EBay and find a place it will fit , or a holder that goes behind the saddle. Any extra weight and off center weight on the handle bars is a recipe for disaster, imho.

    Entry-Level Bike with Suspension?

Throttle assist sounds nice but once you start riding you will probably rarely use use it as you can ride faster with pedal assist. I can't recommend an ebike in your price range but if you are willing to spend a little more there should be more choices. Don't skimp on something that could...

    German Engineering at its Best

Great looking stem and super cool bike...the guy is a little bit Euro-centric-dorkey, but who am I to judge, lol. Can't wait for your reviews. Keep on E-biken.

My 2015 EVO Street Has Arrived!

I have the same saddle and love it. I never thought that I would enjoy a leather saddle, but this one is the bomb. It fits great with the BodyFloat seat post, and I intentionally didn't order the Suntour suspension seat post due to reviews about fit and wear on the seatpost mount itself. I...

Stromer Platinum Plus as mountain bike

Stromer in my humble opinion are like the tanks of ebikes, great on hard surfaces but meant to be driven more deliberately offroad. I don't think that they were designed with mountain biking in mind, but more for efficient commutes with some light trail included. I really liked the Stromers I...

Why do you ride an Ebike?

Exercise, fun, flattening out hills, longer rides, more distance, wind in my face, and the enjoyment of riding again at 50 years old. My wife and I both love it, and everyone around our age who has ridden our bikes comes back with a huge smile on their face and lots of questions.

    Front suspension forks?

Whatever you buy make sure they have the lockout feature for when you don't need the shock absorbing function and some loss of energy like on hard flat surfaces. My bike has cheap Suntour front shocks but they are a huge improvement compared to my wife's bike with a solid front fork, and I...

Let's see your best pic of your electric bicycle

At our cottage in Ontario. Great paths along the lakes and very bike friendly on the roads. Picture shows new upgrades to my DB with Brooks saddle, Bodyfloat seat post, front and rear USB lights, and water bottle cage. Also have discovered during this trip that there is a Huge difference in...

    Almost invisible chain stay protector

Great DIY project. You should patented it. I think ebikers are going to have to think outside the box and do more DIY projects until the industry catches up with after market products.

    Volton Mid-Drive 500w 48v owner review

I have a Diamond Back Trace exc which is a Currie Tech product and I love it so far. Local support from my Performance Bike shop where it was purchased, assembled, and picked up, and so far I love it. Added a Body Float seat post and Brooks B17 pre-aged saddle and the ride could not be nicer...

What kind of helmets do you guys/gals wear?

I bought a Fox mtb helmet just because the fit was perfect and I liked the little added protection on the back of my head. They all have the same components and ratings so just find one that fits your head perfectly and feels good. It doesn't matter if it's the most expensive or coolest helmet...

    Thudbuster Failure Ouch!

Ouch is right. That had to be an "interesting" last five seconds of that ride. I will have to keep an eye on my seatpost and BF suspension as I am probably over the weight limit, but I don't ride that hard. Thanks for the info.

    GenZe 101

First, very nice, cool, and stealth looking bike. EBR rates this at about 20mph in pedal assist so you are very close and it depends on terrain and weight obviously. You can always add a suspension seat post and new saddle to make the ride smoother. I added a BodyFloat and Brooks B17 aged...

Longest paved bike path in the USA

But the cool thing is you can stop along the trail anywhere you want and have a smoke, lol. If anyone bothers you just say read the signs, look who sponsors this, lol.
