    Loose Cassette Cogs

I have 1,900 miles on my Creo Turbo. Today, I was changing the rear tire and I took the opportunity to clean the cassette while the wheel was off the frame. I noticed that the cogs of the cassette had a slight play relative to each other, not firmly fixed as I expected them to be. I got out my...

Turbo Creo: Anyone have Experience with Salty Roads during the Winter?

How well sealed are the Specialized Turbo Creo's battery and engine compartments? Here in the northeast, our roads are frequently salted during the winter. I had issues with corrosion on my Bulls EVO, not only where the battery makes contact - relatively easy to clean - but deep in the inner...

Is a Slime Seal (Tube) Permanent?

Just reporting in. Weather hasn't been great but I did get a few more rides in. Tire is still holding at 50psi. At this point, I consider this seal as "permanent" as a brand new tube. (Yes, eventually it's going to go - pffft! That's why I carry a patch kit and a spare tube.)

Is a Slime Seal (Tube) Permanent?

Postscript: As I mentioned a week ago, last Wednesday, I took the bike out for a 79 mile trip. Came back and the tire was holding pressure like a rock. Funny thing though, Saturday evening, 72 hours later, I felt the tire. It was mushy. I checked it with a pressure gauge and found it at 12psi. I...

Is a Slime Seal (Tube) Permanent?

I took it on the road today. 79 miles. Pressure holding - solid as a rock. (Or - Like a rock, I'm gonna roll over you! :) ) Strictly anecdotal. I am merely reporting. My experiences are mine. Your decisions are yours. :)

Is a Slime Seal (Tube) Permanent?

The common denominator seems to be that a slime-sealed tube is basically equivalent to any random inner tube. It might last the ride, or it might go flat on me in the middle. I'm not being flippant. That's just the reality. The thing to keep in mind here is that the inner tube is somewhat...

Is a Slime Seal (Tube) Permanent?

I don't think anything was left embedded in the tire. Immediately following the incident I could see some blue liquid poolling on the tread of the tire. But after I rode several miles I can't even see that anymore. Does it dry black or does it pick up dirt and turn black? I've examined the tire...

Drivechain Components for Specialized Creo Turbo

It's ready for replacement. 3 - 4K of miles per season under eLoad in my terrain is guaranteed to stretch that chain. I find I invariably do this seasonally. For another 40-50 bucks at the same time I replace the cassette and keep shifting smoothly. Can anyone give me the parts list? Thanks!

Drivechain Components for Specialized Creo Turbo

Can you please post links to the chain and cassette for the Specialized Creo Turbo? On Amazon or wherever. I like to change these every season. (I used to do this regularly on my Bulls EVO. I'm just completing my first season on the Creo and I'm not sure of the precise specs for these...

Is a Slime Seal (Tube) Permanent?

Thanks guys, for your responses! It seems that either the seal is going to hold permanently, or it may go flat on me! :) More or less the same risk I take every time I hit the road! I do carry spare tubes with me. So I'll take the opportunity to do an experiment. I'll post back after about a...

Is a Slime Seal (Tube) Permanent?

Hi - not specifically an eBike question, but I just got my first slime seal on my slime tubed tires and I have a couple of questions. (Mounted on a Specialized Turbo Creo, in case you are interested.) I felt it when I rode over a piece of shrapnel and heard it clatter away from underneath. What...

[UN-RESOLVED, Again!] Specialized "Rider - I Don't Care" Support is non-existent, what is YOUR experience? (poll) (NEW SYSTEM IN PLACE 4-21-22)

Maybe - 1. Get a new e-mail address. 2. Stop reaching out to Rider Care for at least a few weeks. 3. If you have questions or issues see if your LBS or folks here on the forum can help. 4. Reach out to Rider Care sparingly. Just throwing out ideas. Rider Care works for me, so it should work...

[UN-RESOLVED, Again!] Specialized "Rider - I Don't Care" Support is non-existent, what is YOUR experience? (poll) (NEW SYSTEM IN PLACE 4-21-22)

Back to the original topic- Rider Care has answered every e-mail inquiry I've sent them. I've found them to be very helpful. I can't speak to phone contact. Maybe that's the issue? e-mail communication is asynchronous and much less expensive for any company. Give e-mail a shot next time...

Is there any way to get USB power out of the Creo battery?

In my experience, the Garmin Edge 1000 turns off if you plug it into a *data* connection. If the connection is just charge, no data, it remains on. I plugged it into the Anker with the supplied USB cable and the Garmin remains on while it's charging.

If it's not recorded, it didn't happen! :)

Is there any way to get USB power out of the Creo battery?

Thanks! I just ordered this. I was out for 6 hours on the Fourth and the Garmin was reporting Lo Bat around 20 minutes prior to my destination. I made it. I'll keep this in my handlebar kit and snake a USB cable through the zipper when I need it. It would be cool if Specialized would include...

Is there any way to get USB power out of the Creo battery?

Oh, well. It's just a "nice to have". My Bulls E-Stream EVO has a mini USB port. I only used it once on a Century when the Garmin was showing Low Battery toward the end. (Oh, no! To come so far and then conk out at 98 miles... But the Aux USB got me to the finish. :) ) Thanks all, for your...

Does anyone know what this little plug is?

Yes, I know that's where a kickstand would mount, but I don't want the kickstand. It's too bulky and extra weight.

Is there any way to get USB power out of the Creo battery?

I'm loving my Creo Turbo. It checks all my boxes. Lightweight Extender Battery 28mph Built-in Power / Cadence / Speed Configurable (via App) There only one feature that I don't see and that would be the ability to plug in a USB cable to draw power from the battery to power a USB device, like...

Does anyone know what this little plug is?

I lost this thing today on a gnarly gravel trail :) . Is that this Rubber Cable Port Plug? https://www.specialized.com/us/en/rubber-cable-port-plug-flush-7mm/p/176813?color=287183-176813&searchText=S179900015 Or something else? If I can't get the plug, what sort of bolt do I need? I don't...
