Thinking about switching from a Canbus to a New Uart Motor

Recieved a response from GBK about swapping the controllers. Dear Mike, No. You cannot just change the controller to change the protocol. The display is different, the EB-BUS is also different for the two protocols. The torque sensors are different too.

Thinking about switching from a Canbus to a New Uart Motor

UART controllers are NOT compatible with UART motors?? Misprint? So Wattwagon is only retrofitting motors with UART config and not using the newer version CANBUS motors? If the "new" bafang M620 motors are CANBUS but you can still get the UART version why would anybody order the new style if the...

Thinking about switching from a Canbus to a New Uart Motor

Bare bones UART motor is only $710 at GBK. Quick question. Will the Archon controller mount inside of a Canbus motor? I know they mount inside a UART motor. Anybody have a clear picture of a Canbus and UART controller side by side? Ford/Chevy figures.

Thinking about switching from a Canbus to a New Uart Motor

Cant you just replace the Canbus controller with a UART model? They got em a greenbikekit.com for like $150. Then just get the USB cable from Amazon for $20 and download the "Frey" for example programing file and tune away. Shouldn't have to purchase a new motor. Maybe I'm wrong but the motor...

Buyer Beware - 2 month old bike, leaking brakes and Biktrix says "wear and tear"

If you lived close by I have an extra Shimano SLX BR-M7120 4 piston caliper just sitting in my parts box I would just give ya. But the pads for these things are like $50 per caliper and shipping to the far north probably wouldn't be worth it for you. If you really like the bike drop a couple...

Buyer Beware - 2 month old bike, leaking brakes and Biktrix says "wear and tear"

I hear ya. But a bike at that price point isn’t going to have quality parts, it just won’t. I‘m guessing some no-name brand for the brake set? I see the “upgrade” are the tektro’s. What does that tell you. Just drop it off at the bike shop and hopefully your $3,700 bike will only cost ya another...

    Travelanche broken pivot gusset.

Quick update. Parts ended up getting stuck in US customs for a couple of weeks but I received everything on the 20th of July so about a month to ship. Got spare bolts, dropouts, axles, pivot etc so hopefully won’t have to go through this again. Anybody Else that purchased one of these bikes...

Buyer Beware - 2 month old bike, leaking brakes and Biktrix says "wear and tear"

Brother unless you are your own mechanic and capable of periodically inspecting and adjusting parts as needed to ride problem free utilize your LBS services and pass the service onto them. A lot of the guys on this site do their own maintenance as required or upgrades they want. If you got...

2020 Juggernaut Ultra FS Rear Hub quality

White Industries makes a pricey rear hub that has a shitload of contact points inside to distribute the load. My buddy has one on his ride and he's not the most gear conscious rider if you know what I mean and his is still in one piece. My Hope Pro4 is still chugging along. My rear pivot...

    Travelanche broken pivot gusset.

A couple of e-mails back and forth to Germany and my parts are shipping Friday. Getting extra bolts and spacers etc along with the main pivot link, in fact getting two of them. Total cost with shipping is around 3 bills. Such a freakin deal. When it happened I didn't forsee it working out this...

    Swiss Cheese Crankarms

Good job on the rework and not having had them fail on a steep climb like mine did a few years ago. Shorter crank arms a digits bonus. Been using 160's for awhile now and love em no more pedal strikes. Was using the Mirand'as but I couldn't find any 160's so I tried out a company called Praxis...

    Travelanche broken pivot gusset.

Good news on my predicament. After sending an E-mail to the Exess bike company over in Germany yesterday afternoon I woke up today and checked my e-mail and lo and behold I recieved a response from the company. Hello Mike, Yes we still support the parts sale for the HP-180 bike. We can offer...

    Travelanche broken pivot gusset.

Yeah that would be my guess. Have had problems with the numerous pivot point bolts backing out. Gonna have to check em like a hawk once I get this resolved.

    Travelanche broken pivot gusset.

Just wanted to give anyone that purchased a Travelanche (Exess HP-E180a) a heads-up to make sure that ALL your pivot bolts are tightened securely before heading out on a wilderness ride or any ride for that matter. Im usually pretty good about making sure checking everything is tight but I guess...

Undertaking legal actions against Watt Wagons

Mr T a Sturmy archer 3 spd SXRK3 hub will do just fine with an G510 ( Ultra ) motor especially with the Archon x1 toned down perimeters on performance which seems like alot of guys prefer as opposed to the full power/torque/response available with the proprietary programming usb cable. I use...

Undertaking legal actions against Watt Wagons

"Speaking of which how's that Sturmy Archer hub working out for you on that POS you bought from China?" Nice, that the way to stay classy. I glad Mr. P. has responded in this thread and gave his side of the story, there's always two sides but that being said... Probably a little late to...

Undertaking legal actions against Watt Wagons

Mike V Another member to ignore. "Because I like the WW Company and everyone on their brave and innovative team" Pioneer? EH up in El Segundo was doing this long before WW rolled in on the scene. Ultra motors have been around for awhile so that's nothing new. The Archon X1 controller is...

Watt Wagons Critical Product Availability Status

Almost everyone I know that has an E-bike has had to replace their original chain that came with their bike. You would think that it would be the perfect fit right? Your chainline looks fine to me. When your in your smallest cog do those cable supports on your chain stay that support your...
