The RX connect will roll out to more areas next year and we might see it in the US in coming years, but it’s a big challenge working with US regulations and inconsistencies in cell networks throughout the US. Believe me they are working hard on this though.
You basically just need a 31.6mm internally routed dropper post and you’ll need a shim to bump up the diameter to 34.9 which is the actual seat tube inner diameter.
The one that comes on the older Delite Mountain is a 31.6mm Brand-X Ascend with 120mm of travel.
Ever since I have first seen a Riese & Müller bike I was intrigued by their revolutionary designs and after I started working with them I learned about how these radical ideas came about.
This video try's to explain Riese & Müller's Why and takes a deeper look into what drives them. It makes...
I spent some time reviewing the Tern GSD. This video explains some of the unique features of the bike along with some of the details which differ between the S10 and the S00. This bike is really popular in the shop and I hope you enjoy.
Let me know if you guys have any questions about the...
No insider info on the Vektron unfortunately. I only make speculations on occasion, but I try to be explicit about when I do that.
The S+ can technically be shifted manually so it works like a 8 speed hub. You actually use the Bosch display controller to control it. There might be a way to...
You won’t see a belt drive GSD or Vektron in 2020. I believe most of the 2020 updates have been released already. Some brands haven’t yet released their info, but Tern has at Eurobike and we covered all of the changes in the below video.
Thanks! We’re working really hard on them so I’m very pleased that they have been received well. it’s been a significant investment, but I think they are pretty valuable and I hope they help people understand these bikes better.
I’m pretty friendly with the Tern folks so I got to borrow the...
I was excited to get an opportunity to spend some more time with the the HSD and we put together a video explaining the details and features of the bike. Stay tuned for more videos on the accessories as well as the rest of the Tern lineup. In the video we discussed all the different versions...
The Smartphone hub would be compatible with the P7 and S8i but not the S+ since COBI doesn't work with eShift currently. The challenge will be to mount the display to the handlebar. The S+ mounts the Intuvia display to the left of the light and in theory, it could go there but I haven't tested...
I might be wrong, but I believe they have previously used the assistance percentage to show peak power. It might have been during a presentation or training at some point. There is a correlation, but I could have the calculation wrong. Maybe it’s more what you said, but based on input. If they...
Bosch doesn’t publish all of these details, but one way you can think of it is based on the percentage of assistance. The peak power on the new CX is 340% so based on the nominal 250W the peak power is actually 850W. The torque is more specific where the max torque is 75Nm and available at the...
It was a good video! I believe the noise is mostly related to early production models, apparently the new versions will have finer tolerances between the gears and from my understanding the motors get quieter with time, when the gears break in a bit.
Unfortunately it isn’t. The new box with a lockable top will be retrofittable, but this was never available in the states. I’m looking at developing a similar one out of aluminum, but it might take a bit. I love the Load and I would like it even more with a heavy duty lockable box.
I have one...
We made friends with Simon earlier this year and we’re excited to share his story. He’s a young commercial airline pilot living in Switzerland and he chooses to commute by ebike instead of car.
He’s a really great guy and this is one of many people choosing to go by bike and we feel the world...
