This bike with bafang ultra for 500 bucks more maybe and take my money

My 5 year old Haibike w/ Yamaha 60 NM of torque bike performs poorly in a strong wind, either that or I'm really weak. Enter my new Rize RX bike with bafang ultra motor and now headwinds don't exist as presented to the bike. It's a wonderful thing.

Aluminum is too soft. I'm sure these Ali sprockets are some kind of alloy but nothing lasts and holds it's shape like real steel. LOL.. the garbage man took it today. No great loss. I'm hoping greenbikekit can provide a good steel 48 tooth chainring but I've been waiting awhile. Some of the teeth were higher than others on the ali chainring and no, I'm not confusing narrow/wide for poor machining.

My older Haibike with yamaha drive also has the walk assist disabled.. Very disappointing. Why did they do that?

Ali chainring was poorly machined. Well worth two dollars though! :)

I've been in touch w/ greenbikekit and they are going to get me a compatible 48 tooth chainring to replace the 44 tooth. With it I shouldn't have to use 9th gear any longer with it's few teeth prone to stripping w/ prolonged use. The chainrings from aliexpress are junk

I don't see the point of a shift detector if it can't accommodate for the motor after run. I haven't tried a shift while pedaling but if I stop pedaling, the motor is still running for a second, shift and CRUNCH! Either it's too slow or just doesn't know the motor is running

Unfortunately that chain ring doesn't come in 48 teeth.. Oh well

I have a Rize RX with bafang ultra and shift detector. The cutout doesn't seem to take into account the motor decay/overrun so shifts are loud and not nice. I've learned to wait until the overrun stops to shift otherwise I think the drivetrain would be destroyed. I don't know, maybe the shifts...
