    2023 Trek Domane+

The lack of a system akin to the Specialized Future Shock would steer me away from this bike. I suppose I could add a Redshift stem (assuming it would fit), but that would likely add weight. I also believe the Creo offers better range, which for me translates to using more assist when needed...

PatriciaK's Italian ebike tour adventure 🇮🇹🚴🇮🇹

I love reading this type of thread…or should I say I love living vicariously through others’ experiences? Thank you for sharing. 😊

Good read, found this in another e-bike discussion..

85, and your friend says you’re cheating!? I want to be like you when I grow up! 👍

    Blevo remote control

Whatever works! It doesn’t really matter how much battery we use, as long as we have enough. 😊 I rode with my nephew a couple of days ago. I was on my Creo, while he rode my Allant+ 9.9s with its more powerful motor. I was hard-pressed to keep up with him, and I did use Turbo more than...

    Blevo remote control

I’ve tried using BLEvo’s Smart Control, but the first time I came to a steep grade it didn’t provide support quickly enough to suit me. It’s possible I just need to play with the settings, but….I’ve settled on; ECO at 10%, using it when traveling at slow speeds or when I have one of those “I...

An ebike better than a mobility vehicle?

I ride a Class 3. You ride a Class 2. To each their own. 🤷‍♂️

    First Ride with Utilitarian Purpose

It’s very It’s impressive that you have continued to push yourself to continue riding. I imagine the joy of cycling provides plenty of that motivation. I don’t have any major disability, just the typical aches and pains from years of weekend warrior stupidity. 😂The good news is that I...

    First Ride with Utilitarian Purpose

Now that’s a funny story! 😂 I guess biking is liking boating; Do it long enough and you WILL have stories to tell. Although, in your case, it didn’t take long at all. 😃

    First Ride with Utilitarian Purpose

I’ve been riding e-bikes for a bit over two years now. I haven’t ridden a tremendous number of miles..without looking up the total, I think I’m around 2,000. In all that time, every ride has been purely for pleasure and exercise. I’ve not used my bike to run any errands, as the theft problem is...

Experience Thread: A noobie getting into a specialized vado 5.0 IGH

Never trust REI!! I’ve seen several items they’ve listed as discontinued, when in reality it just means they don’t carry it. Items are listed on their site to draw people in. Most dishonest practice ever!

Charging isn’t difficult to manage, if you have a routine. I set up a charging station in my garage. After every ride, I plug in all rechargeable items (Creo, Range Extender, HR monitor, Varia Radar and Wahoo Roam). If I’ve found it necessary to swap my SRAM derailleur battery (I always carry...

Boardman adv8.9 FAZUA clunk on gear chAnge

Yeah, reducing the load is the answer, but I find that’s often difficult to do without a slight pause. Perhaps you’ll do better than I.

Boardman adv8.9 FAZUA clunk on gear chAnge

I have no experience with Fazua, but I have two other mid-drives. When changing gears, they require a very brief pause in pedaling, to avoid the “clunk”. Continuing to apply torque to the pedals can potentially cause damage to the drive train. I’m not certain, but I’ll bet the Fazua owner’s...

Get Connected With Mission Control 3.0

You seem to be looking for all the reasons the bike doesn’t or can’t provide what you desire. Instead, listen to what others are suggesting and select the best option. I’m baffled as to what satisfaction you’re getting out of this thread at this point. Does it stem from some need to get others’...

Wear a helmet and discard the broken and probably old ones

I see a lot of people, seniors mainly, riding MUP’s with no helmet. Maybe they think they won’t get hurt because there are no cars. Personally, I won’t even do an adjustment ride in my driveway without a helmet….I know I’m capable of having an accident. I’m glad you’re ok, @opimax.

Sorry, I didn’t pay attention to the details aside from the availability. I agree, if you were to order from that site, you’d likely get burned. Oops!! Hopefully the mfr will get them back in stock. Or you can buy a Wahoo or Garmin device. Come on, you know you want to! 🙂

Will this product do it for you, @dynamic? It may not be the perfect solution you’re looking for, but I’d say it’s worth looking at. https://npe-inc.com/cableinfo/ The manufacturer has no stock, but it appears they’re available here...

Experience Thread: A noobie getting into a specialized vado 5.0 IGH

I think the connectivity issue is a matter of opinion. I have a Creo, and have absolutely no objection to the fact I had to purchase a computer to get the info I wanted. I also have a Trek bike, which has a phone hub. This connects to the Cobi app, which is (just) ok, but provides nowhere near...
