    eBike Robberies and security Problems

I have my bike alarm on the frame by the rear wheel. It is usually covered in mud. The alarm is secured using Panduit zip ties, and would need a diagonal cutter to be removed. These are really strong zip ties.

Thanks for that tip. Are the waterfalls generally dried up at this time of year, or do they start flowing after a rainfall? I noticed most of the waterfalls at lehigh gorge were dry last week, maybe its just this time of year.

Has anybody hiked the falls trail at rickets glenn state park? Is it worth a trip? I was thinking of checking into a hotel in wilkes barre for a night on monday, then biking the susquehanna warrior trail one day and walking the rickets glen trail the next.

I have the same alarm. For me it isnt that loud. The alarming/disarming noise is significantly louder than the alarm itself...maybe its broken? @FlatSix911 , where do you mount your alarm on your BH?

The benefits of high cadence or, "spinning" is also good for low drive-train wear

I believe that goes both ways on the Yamaha motor - on my PW-X, after several hours on the saddle, I thoroughly enjoy going into a higher gear, dropping my cadence, and letting the motor do the work while I relax and enjoy the scenery.:) I wouldn't want it any other way. I wouldn't call it an...

Unfortunately a $20 lock is as effective as a $200 lock. It keeps honest people honest, and won't stop a thief.

Mid Drive shifting under throttle only

A few sets of quicklinks, a quality chain breaking tool, and a small spare length of chain are some things I never leave home without. That being said, I have yet to break a chain.

Really sad we can't recommend our BHs

I have a BH Rebel Lynx with the Yamaha engine, and 1200 miles I am hoping to have no issues going forward. The Yamaha motors I have read are much more reliable than the Brose on the Atom Lynx or the proprietary BH motors on some of their older models. It does suck that there is no warranty...

Mid Drive shifting under throttle only

I never understood the need for shift sensing. Can't you just lighten up on the pedals when shifting? Like you normally do on an analogue bike anyway? Seems this shift sensing is only useful for somebody who is new to riding bikes. But what do i know.

Nice ride today up at lehigh gorge. Foliage was only just starting to turn. Maybe 5% of trees were a light brown, the rest green. Great weather.

Thanks a lot for this. Makes planning a lot easier. Is the pine creek gorge better mid-week or on a weekend? I don't like crowds, but don't want it to be completely desolate either. What are the watkins glen trails that you like around the finger lakes? I'm not familiar with the area at all.
