Nope, in Canada (Toronto). Our province's cycling rules are basically "follow all car rules", so no Idaho stop. Most riders do it though.

I'm a fan of, and practice the Idaho stop at 4-way stops all the time, as long as the view is clear in all directions. At intersections with lights, where I live, it's just safer to stick to them. There's enough car traffic 99% of the time that it's the most practical way to go.

Sure dedicated tools are better, and on longer rides I'm possibly over-packed, but it's proven itself handy on a couple of rides now (only other peoples bikes so far, knock on wood).

I've got Wolf Tooth 8-bit, which is with me on every ride. The chain tool/link storage is great, but as a dedicated allen key/screwdriver replacement, the design does make some points more awkward than a traditional key. On a touring ride away from civilization, I'd pack proper allen keys as well.
