Seems crazy to me that water got in to the frame. I've been caught out on a couple really rainy rides on my SL and no issues. I do dry it well after.

I don't think anyone under the expectation to get battery exactly at 80%. And it's not difficult to get it in that general range.

I'll chime in. 4000 miles on my SL. And I have/use range extender. I only charge to 100% if I'm going to ride immediately after the charge and only if I need the battery full due to really long ride. I don't charge to 100% if I know the bike will sit or I might just be doing a shorter ride...

Typically, firmware updates come with small explanation. Do you know if the updates were directed at something to do with shifting? Did you ask the LBS about what the updates were for?

True - I think a $10k USD bike is crazy price but I have the money and I'm seriously thinking about buying a top-of-the-line Kenevo SL. Just waiting to see what the '23 models do to the '22 prices. Probably not much.

Agree. Feel the same way about my SL4. Just more 'heft' to it then my road bike. And with 38 tires gives it a real sturdy feel at high speeds vs road bike with 23s. Just a great feel and ride with Specy SL under me.

Make sure your firmware is up-to-date.

Another option is a tire liner. Google Mr Tuffy. Fairly light, easy to install and it's really tough like the name suggests. :) And of course - a good tire.

Finally wore out my rear tire at 3500 miles or 5600k. The little Specialized insignias (I'm assuming those are there for wear) are no longer visible. Think I got my money's worth. Front still OK but replacing that one too. Going to PathFinder Pro2 Bliss.
