    Maxxis Hookworms

I'm sure mounting won't be too big an issue. I'll keep the Kendra's for winter season, and these for the summer.

See, I'm afraid I would be comparable to Kobe beef. Nice and marbled.

    Maxxis Hookworms

Just ordered up a set of those. For less than $50/pair delivered, worth it to experiment, thanks for the link! Not crazy about the logo's, will do something about them. Also, don't be in a hurry for them, looks like they are predicting the better part of a month to get here. I guess I'll have...

Damn. What kind of holster do you use? :-)

I also like the looks/ possibilities of this one, a 3.5" urban assault speed (which mean efficient to me) tire http://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/vee-rubber-speedster-folding-black-26-x-3-50

    Pumped Rover to 30 psi.

100% Urban or hard pack, so the OEM tires will not get replaced when I wear them out. Hookworms or these: (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) when I change.

Yeah. I have to build up my "bike butt".

Supergoop, those look good. Might just order up a set. For those running the Hookworms, (and it's been asked but not answered) what PSI are you airing them up to? Does the bike ride noticeably harder?

This guy starts all his videos in a very similar manor.

    Pumped Rover to 30 psi.

I weigh 270 pounds, and had been running 15 to 20 psi. Today I pumped up to 30 to see what it would feel like. Daddy likes! Feels like a glider now, MUCH better rolling resistance. Cold as hell, with wind chill below 0*, but still went for a ride. The beer didn't get warm.

Now you got me curious, I will take an output shot of my $11 ebay light on my note 4! Taking pictures of light output at night is tricky because the camera can record what is not perceived by the human eye. Used to visit the candlepower forum once in a while.

Help me choose my first ebike

I would second that. Standard parts are paramount in my estimation. The 350 watt motor seems a little small in comparison to what's out there. I bought a Rad Rover, it too is replete with standard parts.

    Prospective E-Biker, Washington DC Metro

I suggest a bike with easy to get generic components. They tend to be less expensive by an order of magnitude, and when things like the battery need replacing, you are not stuck with OEM pricing structures. There are many to look at if you want to order a bike, and fewer at the local stores. I...

    Securing brake cable...outer housing?

That's exactly what I meant, both ends have to be attached.

    Securing brake cable...outer housing?

It is exactly as it should be by what I can see. Does it look different on the other brake? Mine looks identical.

Looking at buying Kalkhoff? My experience

I've not been in the game long, but I know to buy bikes made out of more generic components. For instance the Rad Power bike that I settled on (it was going to be Rad or something from Lunacycle) has a battery that I recognized instantly as one all over the internet, a "dolphin" style...
