Picture of trail fork tire clearance

I replaced the stock 2.1in-wide tires with 2.25s without issue. Still have plenty of space - 1/2" clearance both front and rear. I would be concerned with how wide of tires the rims could safely support if you were thinking anything any wider.

    Flx roadster gen3. What battery

I believe you will find that both the 10.4 and 13.6 are both the same physical size. So both will have the same "sleek look." If you've done much FLX reading you will see a regular theme of folks wishing for "more range." You might keep that in mind in making your decision - you will likely...

    FLX. M600 motor steel gears?

TForan, where did you get the steel gears? I assume mine has nylon gears which one day I will have to replace and I'd like to be in your position with replacements ready to go. So far (1,300 miles), no issues.

FLX Trail Questions for Current Owners!

Assume you are asking if the throttle is limited to the PAS level the bike happens to be in at the time you are using the throttle? I don't think you can change that setting - have not seen such an option in the "settings" display. But it is a quick/easy to up the throttle's power via the +/-...

    Carrying spare battery

I found this bag on ebay. My 2nd battery fits in there fine. I added a foam pad on the bottom for a little more cushion (although it is padded). Fits on my smallish rear bike rack via Velcro sewn in to the bottom bottom + a few bungee cords for extra peace of mind...

    Police Harassment

Your title sucks. As a retired (35 year) cop, I always get pissed when the cops get blamed for enforcing the law. If you don't like the law, get it changed. The cops are just doing their jobs - enforcing the law.

    Hitch rack

This site has a large selection and does pretty good reviews of most of them. https://www.etrailer.com/Bike-Rack Everyone here will have an opinion, but this site will give you some ideas of the different kind.

Dispelling some myths about motor wattage, and ratings

OK, I'll say it. Call me a mamby-pamby but I think it is pretty dangerous for someone to be passing a jogger, walker, someone walking a stroller or even another bike rider when they are going whizzing by, within a few feet at 25 mph. I read many in this forum and other forums who want much...

Charging to 80% without a Satiator

    battery won't recharge

If you are in So Cal. you can run it by this place - https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/ebike-battery-replacement-repair-service.26997/ - for $35 they will evaluate your battery and tell you how much to repair it. There may other such places in the country as well. I was in there...

New buyer, little to no knowledge

I appreciate your comments, one always has to be discerning when reading reviews and comments from consumers. But when you see a group of riders complaining about a bike they have purchased and they have experienced instances breaking the bike's spokes and then you read that the company has...

New buyer, little to no knowledge

Whatever brand you buy, you might be well served by first checking the section of this forum on Brand Specific Issues. I did that and changed my mind about several brands of bike I was considering when I saw that folks were having repetitive issues with certain bikes. (Forums>General Bike...

FLX Trail Questions for Current Owners!

Your point regarding lifiting the bike on to a bike rack is something that goes unnoticed. I bought a new bike rack (it is too heavy for most BTW) and the first lift up was a surprise. You do the same type of riding that I do as well.

FLX Trail Questions for Current Owners!

I can make it up some pretty steep grades as a 200 pounder and the bike can power up them by itself via throttle as well. But defining "pretty steep grades" is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure the Blade can negotiate them much easier - it has twice the power, more effective gear ratio...

    Extra "Yamaha" Battery- US Aftermarket

I was hesitant to make the purchase, as there does not seem like much of a safety net but after a few messages back and forth with "Max" I thought I'd take a chance. Worked out well for me and I wanted to share for others standing on the edge. BTW, either "Max" is fluent in English or they...

2nd Battery for G3 Trail - other FLX batteries are available

I hesitate being the only poster on the FLX Forum, but I posted this information on another thread that was discussing the purchase of a 2nd/replacement better for folk's bikes, so I thought I'd share it with my fellow FLX owners who might be thinking of another battery. Although I am happy...
