    New Garmin eRTL615 ebike radar

Seems like the radar won’t be powered on the bike you’re not riding, so it wouldn’t be connected as you left out on the other bike? Anyway, I wouldn't be concerned given how my Edge 830 handles the myriad ANT+ stuff on my three bikes.

    New Garmin eRTL615 ebike radar

Why would you need to do that? Does Garmin not support multiple ANT+ radar devices like they support multiples of myriad other devices like e-bikes and power meters?

    Questions on current Como 4

Correct, and that is also covered in the link I provided. You'd written about "air drag" though, which is proportional to the square of the speed; and yes the power to overcome it is proportional to the cube of the speed. Doubling speed imparts four times the air / aerodynamic drag and...

    Questions on current Como 4

To clarify - aerodynamic drag is proportional to velocity squared, as well as rider size/posture. Yes, higher speeds cause sharply higher drag, but it is a parabolic function without a specific inflection point rather than a hockey-stick style graph. https://physics.info/drag/ Sorry, spent...

    2022 Creo Axle Torque

Yes, the screw securing the lever to the axle takes a 5mm hex. I'd suggest the only assumption you make is that Specialized's technical writers aren't in sync with engineering/distribution. :p My 2022 Vado 4.0 has the conventional style without the lever and accepts a 6mm hex key. User...

    2022 Vado Inner Tube size

I see a variety of questions, addressing in order: 650b rim size is interchangeable with 27.5 - if there is any actual difference, I don't know what it is. tubes come in a size range - choose one which covers your tire size. I bought a "27.5 x 2.1-2.35" for my Vado 4.0 with 650b x 2.3" tires...

    2022 Creo Axle Torque

Strictly speaking, the lever itself is a 12mm socket. Being a two-piece design, if necessary you can reposition the lever to be able to (carefully) press down on it with your foot to start loosening the thru axle.

ABUS frame locks for Vado/Como have arrived (and they fit/work!)

That's normal I believe; the chains are interchangeable between brands (AXA/Abus) and thus not all locks will have it sit flush to the lock body. Won't make a difference to someone with and angle grinder whether the cut through the plastic shroud or not, and someone with big bolt cutters is...

    2022 Creo Axle Torque

    More like 12mm. :)

    2022 Creo Axle Torque

Yeah, I suspect one isn't supposed to apply that torque to the 5mm hex, but instead remove the lever and apply the torque to the underlying hex head with a socket driver or crowfoot wrench. I prefer the Bontrager Switch thru axle idea where the lever is a 6mm hex key and is held magnetically in...

    Another Turbo Vado Ergonomics Thread

Couple thoughts… There are hitch racks with ability to addd a ramp so you’re not lifting the bike. Consider a professional bike fitting and talk to the fitter about what you’ve written. Lots cheaper than randomly throwing parts at an issue. If in doubt as to frame size, it’s usually best to...

    2022 Creo Axle Torque

I've pondered how I’d handle a similar scenario. On my Domane the lever insert is held magnetically so it’s easy to orient its hex key to be able to step on it with my heel to start loosening the axle. It dawned on me the lever is on a hex bolt - allowing similar reorientation. Still...

    Happy wife, Happy Life!

You ought to try the Shimano M520 or M540 then if you want dual sided SPD. My 520’s on my road bike work as well as my EH500’s. Some of though may be the multidirectional release of the SH56 cleats that come with the EH500’s vs the SH51 cleat...

Trunk Bag for 2022 Turbo Vado

That is also a good option if you have other bikes with the QuickTrack system and prefer to standardize on that instead of MIK system

Trunk Bag for 2022 Turbo Vado

@Xantari yes, if you wish to use an MTX bag on a MIK rack you need to either add an MTX receiver to the rack (which I think would be ugly) or replace the MTX piece on the bag with a MIK plate. I don't have pictures of this because I chose to buy an MTS bag instead of irreversibly modifying my...

    Creo Road Remotes

Same here, not sure I’ll much need or use the extender but with the current sale I couldn’t help but pick one up. I'm told the carbon models don't have the remotes preinstalled, but they do come with them included. I suppose it makes sense to have the shop do the install since location is a...
