Dayum Dave, that was close! I recall after getting my dropper installed the motor bolts came loose and jammed my pedal rotation on a ride. Obviously the tech forgot to torque them back up after the install. Glad you're OK!

Lovely day yesterday with solid sunshine and 24C temps. First ride in shorts this year! Sun screen mandatory. Headed South as I often do with the idea of extending the usual ride. Grass and blackberry brambles are thick and high... Much equestrian waste to avoid on this path... Out...

Well as an anecdotal illustration, my friends were just back from holiday where they rented ebikes. All went well apparently until they encountered a decent hill. The hub drives struggled, as did they whereas a mid drive would have eaten it for breakfast...

Was somebody playing drums?

Came across two riders like that a few months ago. They were desperately trying to inflate a flat with a portable pump. The pump wasn't inflating the tire so I took out my Fumpa and turned it on. Guess what... the valve was closed... Oh dear... 🤣

I carry my Fumpa every ride. Has been useful on a few occasions for myself and others. Haven't needed CO2 ever... yet, although I still have a cartridge packed as well.

I am a huge proponent of keeping your hands on the bars as much as humanly possible. When I got a Garmin Edge 530 I immediately got the remote for it as well. Last thing I wanted to do was to be fiddle farting around trying to switch pages of info from stats to maps etc. and miss the fact I was...
