I’ve just had this bike on demo for the weekend as I’ve had nothing but trouble with a giant road e, I must say it’s a lovely bike to ride, its a bit down on power on the giant but it’s capable.

I wouldn’t for all the hassle over the last 2 years, but I can’t fault Giant’s warranty & im lucky to have had a great dealer close to me. I’ve tried the cube & that didn’t really have the power of the giant for my type of riding & routes I like to ride. so I’m glad I still have the road e.

presumably you have a speed sensor on chain stay, Magnet on crank arm, actually on end of pedals threads araldited into the Allen key hex on the end. The sensor is taken off from the standard position inside the chain stay and repositioned on the outside. There are lot of video’s on YouTube

Sorry it’s me again, I don’t have a mountain bike but with the gearing on your bike will you be able to get to 25-30mph?. Also by unrestricting the bike you will lose around 50% battery life. Have you tried the free unrestricted method first?.

Is the bike being charged?. If it is wait until charged then turn bike on then open the app & it should synchronise then just select ur bike. I didn’t get your options but would say yes to running in back ground, if that doesn’t work just delete your bike on app & start again.

It was the app it’s self would only track in kph but were able to switch to miles now, The 2017 could be done on the i button but didn’t have the alpp.

Richard there was an update on the app a few weeks ago which allows you to change to imperial, then you can have mph.
