Creo vs Domane+ SLR w TQ motor - anyone ride both?

Interesting analysis but you have a few facts wrong. First of all you seem to have compared a medium Creo with a Large Domane +. Specialized calls medium a 54, so comparing it with a 54 Domane + SLR shows the Creo to have 17 mm higher stack, 5 mm longer reach, 4mm shorter chainstay and 8mm...

2022 Turbo Creo SL Expert EVO

So true about the cost to retrofit, if available. From what I’ve read on an EMtn Bike forum, it has been confirmed that the 1.2 motor does physically fit into the older Levo sl frame and the battery is the same. The splines are different so a new crankset would be needed. Then there’s the...

2022 Turbo Creo SL Expert EVO

That’s promising! And did they say the 1.2 motor will be available to retrofit into current creos, or will be in the next generation coming soon? Fingers crossed for the former.

2022 Turbo Creo SL Expert EVO

Who at Specialized told you the 1.2 motor will be available to be swapped into the Creo? Was it someone at a LBS, word from corporate, or ?. Just interested to see if this is a realistic expectation or someone’s assumption. Thanks!

What size Creo to get ?

I‘m 6’3” and rode a 61cm Roubaix for years until I got my XXL Creo, I see the XXL as very similar to the older Specialized 61, the XL as a 58, the L as a 56. I put a 90mm (same +- 7 deg as the stock) stem on both my Roubaix and the Creo to shorten the reach a little, and both fit well. With all...

Creo vs Domane+ SLR w TQ motor - anyone ride both?

You say you compared your creo and domane + slr on the highest setting. I wonder if you had the domane pedal response set to 100%, along with its support and max power settings. I read other owners say that with the pedal response maxed out the torque/power comes on early and then feels like it...

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

Yeah, that seems to be a typo/mistake. Other docs that have been taken down said 48 volts.

    New SL 1.2 motor revealed

I’ve been following an e mountain bike forum for early news about the SL updates and multiple people posted today with leaked specs for the new Levo SL. Since the current Levo SL uses the same motor as the Vado SL and creo, it seems safe ti assume this next gen. will as well. The new motor is...

    Firmware update for charging limit

Good luck, the 80% charge limit worked fine for me for about 6 or 7 charges and then started going to 100% again. So far the last 4 charges have gone to 100 so I’m going back to my old method of just estimating the time and unplugging the charger before it reaches full charge.

    Firmware update for charging limit

Yes, I have a creo with the older tcu and the 80% charge option works on mine. I got the update a few weeks ago and can confirm that the charge stops at 80% now. There is an on-off option in M C so you’re free to use it or not.

    CREO SL Crank clicking

I have a creo and have had a couple of crank clicks. Mine happened both with and without the motor on. Two more things to check, besides the splined crank collar you already checked: Retorque the chainring bolts. That took care of my click for a while. Check the plastic motor cover. It’s held...

how the mission control assist settings work (creo SL, maybe all the SL bikes)

Yeah, I’ll keep you posted if I ever find a solution or explanation. I’ve never used Smart Control so I don’t know if mine would act the same. I don’t get the feeling that the rider care techs or my lbs techs have any idea what I’m talking about. I even sent rider care a Blevo csv file that...

how the mission control assist settings work (creo SL, maybe all the SL bikes)

Thanks Stefan. And before I got my Creo I had a Vado sl for six months that I had tested the same way after reading your ( and mschwett’s) detailed analysis. That bike did perform like you say (roughly 1.8 X rider input + 20% for the motor electrical energy conversion). I never bothered to test...

how the mission control assist settings work (creo SL, maybe all the SL bikes)

Paul, I’m glad to see your post here because I have similar experience with my Creo that I have confirmed many times with both the Blevo app and the specialized rider app. My eco and sport mode do not use the 1.8X factor, it’s more like a 1.2X multiplication factor which makes the mechanical...

    Firmware update for charging limit

I have last year’s pre-mastermind creo and I just got the latest updates last week. My “Tune” tab in Mission Control now has the Charge Limit feature. It was turned off by default but it does turn on. I know from reading automotive EV battery studies that the 20-80% guidelines do significantly...

What Flashing Tail Light are Members Using?

I am lucky to live where I am away from any congested area in ten minutes, then on rural highways and roads for the most part. In the most congested areas my Varia does pick up traffic that would not be a hazard. Even then I like that it shows the concentration of traffic and its relative...

What Flashing Tail Light are Members Using?

My Garmin Varia radar tail light is the best accessory I’ve bought for a bike. It has been 100% reliable and my Garmin computer turns it on and off for me when I start and end a ride. I don’t get false positives, sometimes it picks up a car in the other lane that isn’t a threat, but I’d rather...

Anyone using continental gp5000 tr tubeless on a creo?

I’ll add my tubeless conversion experience here for anyone else considering it (I’m the O.P.) I finally wore out my stock specialized turbo pros that came with my Creo carbon comp. I got a pair of Continental gp 5000 s tr’s, 700 x 32 last week. I was surprised how easily they mounted. I used a...
