They use Presta valves and so it's both harder and a very messy process to inject the sealant into the tube. Try Tannus inserts instead. They should give you all the flat protection you need and, you can short ride them home if you do get a flat.

AFAIK, they never published the involved serial numbers. You had to send your battery serial numbers to FTH Power and they would let you know if they were in the problem batch. Best to contact whom ever you purchased from for that info.

The Serial 1 bikes are all general purpose riders and frankly, they are great if you want a quiet, ride around town bike path kind of ebike. For most ebike buyers and riders, they are a well made, nice component, excellent warranty solution that is better than most.
