So, how many miles do you get on a charge?

Both my battery and legs seem to last longer than my butt, at this point; good for about an hour in the saddle then it's time for 5-10 minutes of stretching, walking around and drinking water. I'm on a Magnum Metro (hub drive), 185 lbs, owned it for less than a month, riding often limited by wx...

    Path design causes riding problems

More than anything else I think the curves and transitions are reflective of the era they were built in. There are sections further south than Denver on the trail, built years later than the northern sections, that are much more comfortable for bikes; bridges cross the river on a diagonal, or...

Denver Animal Shelter, along the S. Platte River Trail.

    Path design causes riding problems

20 mph was on a long, straight level stretch when I could see there was no oncoming traffic, foot or bike. I ride around 15 mph on paths as a rule. Tell it to the spandexter bombers going 25.

    Path design causes riding problems

Path designers around here (Denver) seem in love with narrow short sharp right-angle entrances to the frequent river/creek crossings. I've found only two with a paved knuckle at the entrance, none built on a diagonal. They also love narrow, short, diving and sharply turning entrances to...

Ebikes sales are EXPLODING... ECF is revising its EU forecast from 50 million ebikes by 2030 to 3x as many

Sounds a lot like Denver. 100s of miles of trails, pretty green, damn good beer. Our biggest problem is the super-fragmented governmental situation, everybody builds their own paths/trails but they never seem to connect to anything.

    Charger confusion

Okay, took my new Metro home from the shop Friday afternoon, plus a 15 mile rec ride. Put the battery on the charger that came with it, left it for 6 hrs. Sat morn wanted to go for a group ride but only had 45.6 V showing on display. Had to give up about 5 miles in, even with lots of PAS 0 -...

Let's Develop a cycling club policy on e-road bikes

I'm trying hard not to judge the OP or his cycle club but they're not a bunch I'd want to join, too much group think conformity demanded. I've never been a member of a cycling club until I recently joined Denver Electric Bicycle Ride. While I applaud pioneers I'd be more likely to start an...

    Biktrix Stunner vs Magnum Metro

BTW - a better way to describe my decision is that I'm not mechanical so even tho the Magnum has a rep for durability I went for the near-by dealer just in case. If you're a good wrench I'd save the money and get the Amego.

    Biktrix Stunner vs Magnum Metro

My final choice came down to the Magnum or the Amego. Went with the Magnum because there is a local dealer both in case of service and to assemble/check out the bike.

    Posting pictures help needed

FWIW I'm also on a Mac. Just posted a test, this time it gave me a thumbnail option. When I posted multi images I never saw a thumbnail or the option. (https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/last-test-ride-buying-this-weekend.27329/

Last test ride - buying this weekend!

Wow, ca 350? Owner at Best Bikes told me he'd sold a quarter million worth of Magnums and I sorta doubted it but that's probably my lack of knowledge. Never been on a group ride, I'm wondering what it's like, will keep Louisville in mind if it's something I enjoy.

Last test ride - buying this weekend!

Came down to Amego Infinite or Magnum Metro, decided on Magnum even tho it's a bit more because there is a lbs Magnum dealer a mile from home and I'm not mechanically minded. Started at Best Electric Bikes USA on Federal, took a lap around Sloan's Lake and dropped into Lakewood Gulch to get to...

    Slight sign of acceptance?

Ride The Rockies is a 7 day ca 450 mi ride with ca 25000 feet of elevation gain, a serious Colorado spandexter event. There's something new this year, though: e-bikes! Here's a link to the event page and also to Best Electric Bikes blog announcing acceptance of e-bikes into the event. Haven't...

Tubeless tires--please share experiences and ask questions here!

My e-bike has Schwalbe Big Bens w/the 3 mm kevlar liner. I'm in Denver, ride mostly paved trails and low-traffic neighborhood streets; are flats going to be a big enough problem for me that I need to consider any of this? Doesn't seem like it.

    Any Garmin Connect users?

Makes sense. When I head on a new route I preview with Google Street View and still ride cautiously until I know the route and its problems. Heatmap gives me another tool, a compilation of local knowledge.
