    Size choice

If you are the same 72 years old like me then generally we are not as flexible as we once year...speaking for myself. That might suggest you'd have more comfort with your handlebars at a higher level. The bigger bike will have a longer headtube that would allow for higher bar position. If you...

    Turbo Creo motor noise

Love my Creo in almost every way but have no clue about how the motor works. When it is at its noisiest what explains the noise? What is going on in the motor that makes the noise? Often louder when climbing and spinning in the lowest gears.

How to fill battery bolt holes on Specialized Creo after removing battery?

I used 2 small squares of electrical tape. I also made sure the battery connector wire hanging loose in the downtube was covered with plastic to make sure it did not get wet somehow. And yes there is a spacer on one of the motor bolts that is easy to misplace and finicky to keep in place as you...

Are Vado SL Stock Hubs ('Specialized Alloy') Rebadged DT hubs?

I would say there's a good chance they are Formula hubs. I really good question is why would you want to change to ratchets? Unless you are truly concerned about degrees of engagement when pedaling there is probably nothing to be gained via ratchets over pawls. For my debacle with freehubs, see...

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

Parts falling out. Sounds like the beauty and danger of a DT Swiss freehub body? So the carbon wheels on my Creo have DT Swiss hubs too and the cassette was installed on that rear hub with a 1.85mm spacer. So I of course moved the spacer over to the new Formula hub when I installed the cassette...

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

Bike shop whacked the end of the axle thinking maybe you had to knock the axle out in order to remove the freehub...but that jogged the freehub loose and it did pull off...as expected. It was stuck on really good.

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

Sorry to be more bother but...I did remove the pressed on end cap and the threaded one too. I thought an easy tug on the freehub body would get it off. But I tugged and tugged and it would not pop off. What am I missing in this step? Usually I can consider myself a much better mechanic than what...

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

phase 3 - my used wheels arrived in the mail today. End cap would not come off by hand or by pliers. Decided soft wooden jaws in the bench vise was worth a try. That worked perfectly. TURNS OUT THIS HUB DOES NOT REQUIRE A LARGE HEX KEY TO ENABLE REMOVING THE DRIVER. Once you get the end cap off...

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

This will be for a spare set of travel wheels for my Creo Expert. They will go inside a travel case and I prefer they be inexpensive and decent. Some folks with lower model Creos replace their alloy wheels with carbon and the alloys show up used on ebay. My Creo uses an XD driver but most alloy...

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

I wonder if it is a hub similar to this one? This guys says 12mm hex key. I thought I saw elsewhere 11mm...

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

If anyone has done this swap can you say what size hex key is required to remove or stabilize the hub when removing the lock nut? I know you could hold it in soft jaw vise but would prefer to know correct tool. Thx

Do I have my Range Extender installed correctly?

On second thought you might be correct about the mount being the same distance from charge port regardless of size of bike.

Do I have my Range Extender installed correctly?

of course how much slack one has in the cable would probably depend on the size of your bike's frame.

Do I have my Range Extender installed correctly?

ahhhh. good point on that Specialized bottle cage that makes it a big hassle to plug in the battery. That's why I could not understand the issue. I use a regular, fancy, normal bike, bottle cage and being able to rotate the battery makes it all work really easily. I do use the big rubber band to...

Do I have my Range Extender installed correctly?

can't you simply turn the battery around in the cage so the cable coming out of the top of the battery is showing on the non-drive side (left) of the bike? That should give you more slack so it is easy for the cable each to reach the charge port on the bike. In the photo above the battery is...

Seeking XD freehub driver for Creo alloy wheel

I own a Creo Expert that came with carbon wheels. I changed out the Shimano freehub with a DT Swiss XD driver so I could run SRAM 10-50 cassette as the bike now runs all SRAM Eagle 12 parts. I want an extra set of inexpensive wheels to take traveling. I can find a bunch of used alloy Creo wheels...

    SL 1.1 motor upgrade rumors

My 2020 Creo Expert is near perfect as best I can tell in almost every way. I even changed out the original Di2 parts and subbed in Sram 12 speed AXS GX with 10-50 cassette. Oh and now I ride with upright bars rather than drops. I had already changed out the original HG freehub for Sram XDR so I...

Replacing The Coin Battery In the Specialized SL TCU Gen 1

maybe these will help even though not plastic: The edge of those batteries do have a tiny lip between the top and bottom and maybe you can hook the lip with one of these...
