So what's your other hobbies or interests?

Okay, I'll start, I'm an amateur radio operator, commonly known as "ham" radio, and I also like to cook and especially bake. I do lots of outdoor activities as well, in addition to biking I also hike, kayak in the lake, as well as surf fishing in the SoCal Pacific ocean, a lot in the Ventura...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

I think the problem with that type of logic, it leaves out the fact that as unvaxed people get sick, the virus mutates, and then moves on to others, and in short order a new variant of the virus will emerge and find a vaxed person and will be able to evade the original vaccine, and infect a once...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

Yep, like I posted earlier, how's this even a debate? Your mashed up helmet, would have been your head. Common sense, gloves protect hands, and a helmet protects your melon.

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

Suffice to say, even though you got run over by a car at speed, the safety gear you had on did it's job. It might have been different had you not been appropriately attired. I spent a lot of years on the LA freeways including the piece of I-5 you speak off. I think the 405 was the most...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

I'm a big believer in body amour for my motorcycle riding too. I look down at the tarmac whizzing by at 60 MPH or faster I shiver to think what would happen if I went down and slid along just wearing a T shirt and shorts. I suit up for every ride. Elbow and knee pads would be welcome for a...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

I've been using these hi-viz yellow colored helmets for awhile now, both on my MC's and bicycle helmets. The color does seem to shock the cagers out of there distracted, zombie like state. Purely anecdotal, but they seem to make a big difference in visibility, I see drivers look away and then...

Get a good helmet, and wear it.

How is this even a debate? Logic and science dictate that helmets are the most important piece of safety gear a person can use when on two wheels.

    Rad power EU, poor experience.

I had the same poor customer support experience from Rad as well, but luckily for me I figured it out before I hit the buy button. I was asking simple pre order availability questions and they took at least a week to respond and often never addressed my question. I thought if the order...

    Shipping Lies, be prepared

I bought a factory direct bike in April of this year, but before I purchased it, I emailed and specifically and asked the seller where it was in stock and where it would ship from? As in what country? The bike was in California and shipped from there, and I received it in about 5 days via...

Are Flat Out, Slime and Stans a scam?

I think it works, I was getting a flat it seemed weekly from those goat-head stickers, so the last tube I installed, was a tube pre loaded a with slime sealant. So far months later, still no flats, and no problem adding air. The instructions say to add air, have the valve in the 10 or 2 o'clock...

    Buying first electric bike

And, I've always assumed an integrated battery is proprietary to a specific bike and manufacturer, so a replacement might be only through them and you will have to pay what they ask. I would check on that before you buy at least. cheers.

    Helmet without straps?

A full coverage helmet is still held on your noggin with straps.

    Chain lube?

I use Maxima chain wax on my motorbike chains, and like it because it works well, dries clear, and doesn't fling off. So I found a bicycle chain specific chain wax as well. So for the results are good. The only negative with chain wax is, it needs to be reapplied more often, but better that...

    Helmet without straps?

Helmets are a safety device, part of the device are straps to keep it on your melon. There is no way around that. I think you're having a fitment issue, not a strap issue.

Do I need a full face motorcycle helmet?

I've been wearing full face helmets on motorcycles for so many years i don't want to count them. If you've ever seen a face plant with anything less than a full coverage helmet, it will make a believer out of you. My e bike rides are so sedate, i just wear a traditional biking lid, but if i...

    $1500 price range bikes

On inexpensive, Chinese bikes you want to stay away from ones that use proprietary parts. If you need parts and the are "off the shelf", they are easy to source from all the usual Internet vendor sites. That's my take on low buck bikes at least. Happy searching.

Sun hat / Clothing? Avoiding Sun?

I wear a helmet and very dark sun glasses, and sunscreen on exposed skin, especially my snout.
