    eMTB Options For 2024

I’m guessing one of the main features of the fazua system is that the battery and motor is removable allowing the rider to go analogue at will which imo is a major perk. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the SL mahle motor has that feature.

    New Stromer ST5 LTD

A lot of riders on these forums and others have been having motor issues with their stromers in snow, wet and colder temperatures. So beware and do thorough research before you go with stromer. Another thing is to not underestimate how durable a good derailleur set up is as it is much more...

Stromer motor water ingress then freezing problem

Very unfortunate but it’s part of the design flaws of hub motors in general. Hubs are more exposed to the elements especially being in the rear wheel with all the snow flying around the rim and saturating the motor. Mid-drives are insulated from this and aren’t affected. One of the many pros of...

Click when left pedal pressed down on Trek/Bosch

Check to see if some debris like a pebble or gravel is stuck in the cranks. I’ve seen people have this exact issue on e-mtb forums. Once debris found and removed noise goes away.

TREK POWERFLY 7 LONG TERM REVIEW

Nice review and cool bike! Love the powerfly. Be careful cleaning it though, stay away from power washers and take the extra time to hand wash it.

Trek Launches New High Performance Electric Cross Country Ebikes E-Caliber

I agree, although he’s a good reviewer it’s astonishing he hasn’t realized yet that he has problems removing some batteries because he’s holding a camera with one hand and trying to remove a battery operated with a lock and key in the other. The fact this e-bike lacked a kickstand exacerbated...

Trek Launches New High Performance Electric Cross Country Ebikes E-Caliber

Very impressed by this e-bike. Trek is on a roll while Specialized is flailing, R&M is overwhelmed, Haibike is ignored by its parent Accell, Moustache is too small and Giant is stubborn and stagnate refusing to expand operations. Leaving only BULLS standing and being competitive with Trek rn...

Ordered a new Domane HP today

Congratulations! You got yourself one heck of a great bike. Wishing you many miles of smiles. Such a good looking frame and the matte grey too. The GRX components will have you climbing inclines like a goat. Really very very nice.👍 👍 Don’t forget to post after your first ride to let us know...

Nation Wide Shortage on FS eMTB'S

I Confirms my suspicions that the shortages are affecting North America the most. 8 pages of e-bikes and e-mtbs spanning all price ranges on ridewill. Most retailers in the EU have e-bikes in stock at this point in time. https://www.ridewill.it/c1/en/cycling/1/e-bike-bicycles/49/

    Allant+ 7S One Month Update

I I think the vibration is normal when going up a hill and accelerating. Mine does it too since day one and I have 1800 miles on the odometer. As long as your not hearing any unusual noises or sounds from the motor you should be good.

    Allant+ 7S One Month Update

Completely agree with that. It drains the battery noticeably quicker. Not drastically but certainly noticeable. The way I confirmed it was I turned the bike on and switched the lights on and left it alone for a couple of hours. Battery went down 7% during the 150minutes of it being immobile but...

    Wich speed pedelec?

I appreciate and respect your comments. However I have to disagree about the part that members be restricted to commenting and offering their opinions on hardware, drivetrains & brands they don’t own. That simply wouldn’t be an ideal way to operate a public special interest forum on the...

    Wich speed pedelec?

Very good point Stefan. I would like to point out though that I am in favor of diversity of opinion from everyone regardless whether that person has a prefabricated number of miles ridden on a particular brand of ebike. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion and often they express...

    Wich speed pedelec?

I never said stromers were illegal. Any 45kph ebike is legal in the EU as long as it’s insured , has brake lights and license plates. My critiques on stromer were their reliability and dealer support network or lack there of. When I’m in Belgium again next month and things open up completely...

    Wich speed pedelec?

That’s not what I’m seeing when I’m living there. I split my time between Leuven and Greece for business throughout most of the duration of the pandemic and currently Belgium’s non-essential travel ban that was enacted about a month or so ago. In Leuven cars essentially aren’t even allowed to...

    Wich speed pedelec?

I don’t why there is a trend of you assuming what bikes I have or have ridden. Not sure why you think people other than you aren’t allowed to participate in the forums without being personally attacked. If you have a contrasting viewpoint , state it without ad-hominem attacks and move on. Act...

    Wich speed pedelec?

Forgot to mention that the stromer is known to be unreliable with electrical issues and connectivity dilemmas. Also, the hub motor makes it extremely difficult to change the tire should you get a flat. The R&M rohloff is only warrantied for the first 1000miles and after that anything and...
