Anyone ever get the leather grips off?

They are a HUGE pain in the butt to remove. I took the black grips off the black rover and put them on the white. And the tan grips on the white rover onto the black. It was work. For sure.

    RadRover electronics in the rain

It's iffy. I drove with two Rovers on the back of the Explorer through heavy rain and flooded country roads once I got near the coast. Both bikes got SOAKED between the heavy rain and 2' flooded roadway splash a few times. I let the bikes dry off over night in the tent and half the next day. I...

    Maxxis Hookworms

I believe walk mode is used by press & hold the down arrow. Great feature tho I sometimes think just toying the throttle is easier. I could only imagine trying to haul 65lbs of bike up the stairs. No thank you!!

Rad Power Bikes Owners Support Map

I do not have any options yet for non-facebook members. I'd like to keep the data current/true - so the Facebook group is more of a rolling catalog of current members. I'm afraid if I add folk from off online forums or elsewhere - 2, 3, 4 years down the road they may not be owners anymore but...

Bike carrier for a (class 1) 1.25" hitch

I bought the Kuat NV 2.0 rack (gray and orange) but you can get the base which doesn't have the trail doc (you can't use it with 60lb bike anyway..) can be had for $500 on amazon. Lots of great features and also comes in a 1.25" option (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)

Rad Power Bikes Owners Support Map

I started an owners support map. This map is so far 60 members strong and growing! The purpose of the map is for members to locate other nearby members for friendly rides or local support and for potential buyers to maybe meet up with support members to test ride the Rad Power Bikes and...

    New RadCity

I paid $40 for my LBS to adjust my gears & brakes for me. I'm in Cali tho.. He was interested in the bike and had no problems providing the service. $40 was on par with what other LBS were charging based on their service menus online. So I'm fine with $40 on my end.. I'm not sure why he was so...

    Rad City controller replacement

Yep that's probably it. The other long one connects to the rear hub motor

    Rad City controller replacement

I believe you're referring to the wire that connects to the control panel on the handlebars.. simple just turn your handlebars full right (at least on my rover) to induce slack in the wire harness. It should all pop out the hole. I'm going based on my Rover. The city may be different. I did...

    new headlight

Well if you need a light to ride at night - go out and get one! Be safe! Ours is coming soon.. Sometime this summer if all goes well. I'd rather you ride safe than wait. Our goal for sure is by Fall to have a product out there. Just in time for Night Riding season! Summer time isn't ideal to...

How many volts is that light running at?? Something doesn't add up. Or it could just be your controller is bad. You should be more than good with 120ma rolling through. That's on the low scale of capacity.. Also try to verify the LED chips they are using in that aftermarket light. I'm...

    new headlight

What are your current ratings? You should be able to run 4watts no problem. But that of course is amps times volts = watts so... post up the specs. We can pull way more than 4 watts on our test bikes (for our new light)

    Black or White

I put the tan grips/seat on the black rover and the black grips/seat on the white rover - LOOKS WAY BETTER having a white rover with black grips/seats - I think

    new headlight

..I'm not sure about "quality". I mean... what if I wanted to make our case out of real wood??? Earthy! lol It was on the plate. But I don't think wood would hold up too well to the elements over time. Maybe for my personal light I'll make the housing out of wood. Our production line will be...

    new headlight

The controllers are regulating the power to the headlight wires. This is what killed our spirits at first. But we fought back and found the perfect balance. We use CREE chips and current regulating drivers to maintain a reliable light :) I will say tho that 11 watts is pushing past the limits...

I'm surprised you don't carry a firearm. I worked on the Mexico border (McAllen) for 2.5 years. No way I'd go anywhere without my XD40sc
