    RadRhino 2018 prog 1367

On my RadRhino 2018 if I press Up + (mode+down) I get the message: Prog 1367. Does anybody knows what it is? It might be nothing, but who knows might be a portal to another dimension ?

Radrover Controller & Display Upgrade Kit

I think he is trying to say that the "Stock Motor" isn't 750w nominal, and that the replacement is 750w nominal.

Radrover Controller & Display Upgrade Kit

I have to admit that when I read about motors I skip most of my reading, so I have to ask something that it might be common knowledge for everyone already. Does the motor fit in the bafang casing?

Radrover Controller & Display Upgrade Kit

But actually on the crank side you want to go bigger!

Radrover Controller & Display Upgrade Kit

Ok, that really sounds impressive... Do you have any information if the controller's case (box) is water resistant (sealed)?

Radrover Controller & Display Upgrade Kit

I have a EU 2018 RadRover, so you are saying that uphill if I use the throttle it will give me over 1000w? Whereas now only gives 745w max? This sounds very interesting.

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

Quick update: Today in the morning when I left to work (6:20) here in the north of Finland we had a sweet -29 celcious (feels like -38 btw). The RadRhino at that temperature I can say that works Ok but not as normal, it felt sluggish and perhaps underperforming a bit, but it worked nevertheless...

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

@AHicks indeed that's a good idea, specially because the battery is perhaps the most delicate part of the puzzle, so having a compatible battery for 2 bikes seems an excellent idea. ?

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

Legal? Is just a bike like any other, I really don't get what's the legality you are referring to, huh? ??

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

Even Rad alternatives for EU are either a Cargo bike or Fat bike. RadRhino is a great bike now that is winter, it suits my needs perfectly, but with the winter gone I think the Fat tyres, the volume of the bike and the weight is going to make ithe bike feel like an overkill, unnecessary features...

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

Yes my mistake, often interchange the words registration and insurance, and yes clearly in the Finnish version is well explained. Besides the point it's clear I neither have an insurance nor is registration ;) Yes the kit that I'm referring to needs a particular frame, Bafang also offers a...

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

Attached is a picture about our legislation in relation to L1E-A, so according to that a legal unmodified RadRhino doesn't need insurance because neither exceeds 1kw nor 25km/h ←? I think tomorrow would be the test for the bafang, our forecast is an average of -21. Today when came from work was...

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

@Aero To be honest never been close to 40kmh (or haven't) I think it all depends on the weight, and also on these snow/icy roads maybe not possible, I think I have reached 34kmh (maybe) on 7th gear and the cadence was alright, fast pedaling but not hamster like. I'm hooked with this ebike...

    EU RadRhino 2018 + Upgrades

Hei... I'm in Oulu, so for me it means a lot of snow (like right now but not as bad as last winter). Snow is not as bad as when snow melts and frezzes again, and on those conditions the RadRhino does a great job specially with low psi. I don't think the RadRhino is a perfect ebike, but its...

    Crankset unhappiness

@linklemming Here on this video at minute 1:37 you can see my ideal position for mountain bike which is one foot on pedal and the other on the tip of my shoes. Again on my hybrid I can put my saddle higher because I can tilt the bike when full stopped and stand on the top tube. Maybe we are...

    Crankset unhappiness

When I'm riding my knees are bending a bit which is not comfortable for me. The whole thing about not touching the ground "at all" while on the saddle in my experience apply to road and perhaps XC bikes. On hybrid/commuting bikes I find that reaching the ground while tilting the bike is a good...

    Crankset unhappiness

That's exactly what I mean. As it is right now my saddle's height (touching the ground with the tip of my toes/shoes) I can feel that Im bending my knees too much.

    Crankset unhappiness

For me, my comfortable position on my hybrid is reaching the ground while Tilting the bike, on my mountain bike I have it so I reach the ground with the tip of my shoes.

    Crankset unhappiness

Cute, are you still using training wheels?

    Crankset unhappiness

No, my aim is not having my knees slightly bent, if I put the seat to the right height then I can't even touch the ground with the tip is my shoes while sitting.
