Why no shocks on a Rad Wagon?

Case in point, the R&M cargo bikes use entry level Suntour XCM coil forks on their cargo bikes. I would have thought for 8k, they would have provided air forks you can dial in for the weight your carrying.

Upgraded my brake calipers w/ TRP cable actuated hydraulic disc brakes

I remember someone trying one from Luna Cycles and complained that it was just the hydraulic brakes with the override sensors cables glued to the brake. Are we sure these are not the same? There is no mention of these e-brake levers on the Shimano website. I have some BBS02 and BBSHD kits and...

Why no shocks on a Rad Wagon?

I just recently purchased front shocks for my Radwagon from Performance Bikes's going out of business sale. Got them at 50% off. It's a 26 inch RockShox Recon air suspension fork. The fork is longer than the original but still short enough for the kickstand to keep the front wheel up. The...

    Winter gloves inquiry

My hands didn't sweat because I run the gloves at medium temp. A set of regular polar fleece gloves over the electric base layer + bar mitts is good enough for temperatures between 0-20F. I have ski gloves but they won't fit under the mitts. All my other winter gloves do fit but its hard to...

    Winter gloves inquiry

Thanks, I have something similar http://powerinmotion.ca/Products/Heated-Wear/Heated_Gloves_Calgary_Toronto_Vancouver_Canada I was just hoping to find something that doesn't require me to carry batteries attached to my wrist or wired to a bike. Maybe just a pair of gloves that I can just...

    Winter gloves inquiry

Currently when I'm ride in cooler temperatures ( < 20 degrees F ), I use bar mitts along with heated electric gloves base layer + fleece glove. Its comfortable but all the batteries are wired onto my cargo bike so its not convenient to transfer the batteries to my other bikes. I was...

Need help dialing in handlebars. Pain and numbness in hands.

I would try adjusting your seat angle. The front seat angle on your ebike is pointed too high. I had a similar problem on one of my ebikes. My seat wasn't tighten enough and when I sat back it tilted up slightly. I figured it was okay and just rode that way for the next 17 miles until I got...

    best pump

That's the pump I use as well but the version with the gauge. I liked it so much, I have it on all bikes.

Power needed to eliminate need for gears....

Thanks, but no thanks. I commute everyday by ebike and use around 180-210 watts of assist carrying a full load on a Radwagon cargo bike. I average about 13-15 mph with the assist at Level 2 and a low enough gearing that I can maintain a good cadence. I just want something that helps make...

Upgraded my brake calipers w/ TRP cable actuated hydraulic disc brakes

I suppose you can trim it, but I think the reason why the OEM brakes don't work well is because of the low quality cable and that's it bent in so many places. I remember accidently putting a shifter cable instead of the brake cable. Because it was much thinner, it slid very well in the cable...

Upgraded my brake calipers w/ TRP cable actuated hydraulic disc brakes

The TRP will fit on the front but not the rear because the location of the nozzle where you insert the cable sits behind the clear plastic panel. I ended up getting these (Shimano XT Hydraulic) for the rear https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XKY3MAI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

My Odometer Reset On It's Own?

I just passed the 6213 miles mark and its back to 0 miles again on the Radwagon. So far no problems and runs like new.

    Rad Power Radrover Throttle Inoperative

Its probably easy enough just to replace the throttle. As for the light, if its the same one used on the Radwagon, then the connectors probably just came loose. You can manually push the connectors back into the light (red/black). I was surprised seeing 48 volts going to the light. I would...

    My first Ebike.

Probably not. The cap is probably just to protect the wire and runs through the axle. The wire probably disconnects elsewhere on the bike. At least on my geared and direct drive hub bikes.

ASE, owner of Performance Bicycle and ASI, to file for Chapter 11

That's too bad. I like going to my local Performance Bike shop. They carried a lot of SE bikes that I liked. Their prices aren't that far off from bikes at REI but I suppose REI caters to a larger audience.

Tubeless tires--please share experiences and ask questions here!

I have a bike that I purchased (for fun) from a ride share company (Ofo) before they left DC. That bicycle is suppose to be maintenance free so it came with run flat tires. The tires feel like they are completely solid. Every crack in the road is felt. Any bumps greater than 1-2 inches will...

Survey for those with higher mileage (2000+) ebikes

Have 4000+ miles on a Dillinger Street Legal 350 watt kit and 6100+ miles on a Radwagon. No problems at all in all weather conditions including riding through several streams that came up to my bottom bracket.
